Another upgrade for the big nose.
About this creation

|
Though it still maintains it's basic nasal shape, it's now more of a "Roman nose" with the addition of a new main deflector and internal missile bay.
|

The main engine is the same as the second, with working lights , but the Avenger's wings and outboard landing thrusters changed significantly. The ship now features larger, circular shaped thrusters on each wing that can rotated 360 degrees on the vertical axis.

A "nose-on" view offering a better look at the new deflector dish. Just above the deflector is the door to the internal missile bay. Also note the inward pivoting fins on the wing pylons.

The landing gear fully extended. Although the front landing gear didn't change too much, the rear langing gear changed from a Technic configuration to a simpler yet just as sturdy click hinge design and slimmed down landing pad.

Captain Nibs Ahnee and Zog pose alongside their trusty ship. The doors to the internal missile bay are open to reveal four SS-45 "Snot Rockets."

In this view, you can see the outboard thruster (far left) rotated to landing position as well as the landing ramp down (with Russ Russell walking up). This view also offers a look at the new underside tail gun from a different angle.

Nibs supervises as Zog services the underside internal weapons bay, with Russ's assistance. Note the how the ship sits higher on it's upgraded landing gear, which I extended to allow for better access underneath. This view also offers a closer look at the detail of the redesigned wing-mounted laser cannons.

The door open with a rack of space charges ready for deployment. The space charges are similar in concept to the seismic charges in Jango Fett's Slave 1, designed to fend off pursuers.

This just has to be my favourite lego creation of all time. It's just so goddam detailed. And it's got a manned turret. The landing fear, the hidden missiles, greebles; everything about it equated to one breathtaking model. |

although i don't have the picture of it on my page yet (nor anything else :P) the nasal avenger has inspired the creation of one of my craft called the Hayden. that proves that you are an inspiration to me. your first and original nasal avenger was cool when i saw it, and now the 3rd...is there anything you can't accomplish in lego? |

Dan - this ship is by far my favorite out of all your creations. It has so many coolio features; from the landing gear, to the bubble-top turret, to the bombs underneath... aaggghhh! Just simply amazing to look at. The lights for the engines and your photo editing space scenes made me late for work the other morning.... Thanks! ~ Paul |

This is definately my favorite Lego space moc, I love this thing... but can you please post some interior pics? I'm just dying to see inside.
- you should make a Nasonex ship to repair the nasal avenger when it has troubles - |
