Self-Moc, Topsy Creatori… Feline Shape Shifter!
Meow! Topsy steps stealthily into the alchemical magic of feline shape shifting!
About this creation
Topsy Cat embodies natural grace in figure, as well as, movement!

While stretching to keep her figure lithe, Topsy Cat discovers her tail!

Topsy Cat finds her tail fascinating!

Topsy Cat’s kicking up her heels… she’s mastered the feline state of mind!

Topsy Cat’s now on the playful prowl!

Topsy Cat prepares for meditation! Wasn’t this a touching tale?!

4th wall:
I have wanted to update my self-moc for a few months now. I’ve wanted to update to a neck and waist that turns, as well as, hands with fingers. I especially wanted to update her ‘boot’ design. I’m very pleased with the new ‘boot’ design, it took a few days to perfect! I’m sure the feline shape shifter idea came into my head at this particular time due to the recent passing of my two favorite cats: Merlin, a big red male, and Annie, a tiny cream (diluted red) female. I miss them very much!

Quoting David Alexander Smith I love the boot design and the care free feline spirit.
Thanks, I need the articulation to convey that spirit. I wish I had your talent of conveying motion/movement/expression in 2D! :)

Quoting Nick Barrett Fascinating tail, indeed... and the rest of her :-) Wishing you all the best in what remains of DA, too.
I thought I had bionicles out of my system (no pun intended!), but I did so have alot of fun building her. So, I'm sure I'll continue to build in that theme too! I look forward to the builds you will produce for the upcoming MocOlympics! You have had quite the ideas lately! :)

Again I'm really sorry you have had such a dark time , they really are part of the family. Im not real familiar with Bionicle but my son has them and I've seen these pieces all over the place. That's funny that you used the head pieces for the feet it's Topsy Turvy :-)

Yes. The combination of the blue tubes with that skinny waist design and the tire! <3

Quoting Stormjay Rider I can very much see both the feminine and the feline in here. The one nitpick I have is the mid-torso, under the--um--breast armor, seems waaaaay too thin. I think you need a nicer transition (my System FeMOC, WIP, has a triangular torso so the breast armor doesn't look out of place.
I agree, but I spent so much time with this update and was so excited about the results that I let that part slip. Also, I was trying to keep the basic torso substructure using the limb pieces. Thanks for the critique, comments and smiley! :)

Quoting L.A. Miranda Love her! A great improvemente since her first version, back then to the beginnings of the BCBS... Even if she keeps old designs, she has a new vibe right now, taller and more stylized! I'm really surprised with 3 things of this MOC: first, amazing and rare color scheme. Light blue and white is good, but the orange with them is really cool! I know it was on the first version, but hey, it still amazes me <3 Second, the part usage: Vahki heads, Pohatu Phantoka orange propellers, Gali Mata limbs... And third: the impressing designs! I was really stuned after see the waist area. 'How... How does that work? It... It looks like the chest floats!' Love how you designed the upper torso and waist using the tubes and the Gali Mata arms, giving a new feeling even if that design comes from the first version. The boot design is really cool too. Like the head! I miss the Mistika Visor hair a bit, though. Well, my dear, great, great job for her new look! And also, I'm really sorry for your little friends )=
Thanks for the lovely comment. If I understand your reference, I think the appearance of 'floating' might have to do with the white tire slipped around the technic ball brick piece which is further wrapped with the tubing? :)

Quoting matt rowntRee That second shot of her finding grace is over the top perfect! Love the boots, but I think it's how you did her thighs that make them work so well. Sassy little minx!
Thanks, it was a lot of fun having such a poseable bionicle to photograph! I wanted to allow her feminity and flexibility to show through and still be viewable by all! :)

Quoting clayton Marchetti Sorry to here about your cats Topsy. This shape shifter is the cats meow! I especially like the pic of her finding her tail! The boots look fantastic btw! And I also like the claws particularly the one silver nail. Excellent
It's been a tough late spring/summer. All our pets were/are about the same age. We lost our smooth collie the end of May. And, now our black cat is not doing so well. But, they all had good lives. I want to come back as one of our pets! Don't know if you are familiar with bionicle parts, but the foot of each boot is a head piece! :)

Quoting MortalSwordsman . Meow indeed! She is very flexible. I can also see the mystique resemblance. Nice booty um I mean boots. ;)
Hee, hee! I originally tried to use t-pins for the knee joint but with the flexibiliity in the waist/torso area they were not strong enough for supporting the body in more poses. :)
