Fallout Vertibird

After bumming the game for so long I knew I had to build something, and being a vehicle builder I knew it had to be the enclave vertibird. Its pretty accurate to the real thing but I removed some stuff for aesthetics. nose mounted weapons are different, and the fuselage behind the rotors is a bit off. Still I think its pretty great.
About this creation
The Vertibird has a heavily armored fuselage and can be outfitted with a variety of offensive weapons and defensive countermeasures, the most common being Gatling lasers, missile racks, and a mini nuke bed. It is unknown what powers a Vertibird but the Enclave required Navarro for refueling. It has a winch that can haul several tons of equipment - or a large deathclaw cage.

The Vertibird was still in prototype phase when the Great War struck in 2077, preventing it from entering full military service. However a prototype model in winterized camouflage pattern can be seen during the Operation Anchorage simulation dropping U.S. troops before taking off again. However, the trial aircraft that were already produced and in the field were seized by Enclave members and loyalists and either transferred to their bases or secured in shelters. The Enclave began mass-producing the design in secret, and now the Vertibird is the general-purpose delivery vehicle of the Enclave's military forces. Capable of surgical insertions, extractions and close air support alike, the Vertibird is synonymous with the Enclave in general, and a good representative of its power as a whole.

Fortunately, the Vertibirds the player character faces are usually set for a specific assignment - either dropping Enclave troops off, or flying racetrack circles and providing fire support. Vertibirds on insertion/extraction duty are not capable of attacking, but their dropping off troops can be problematic, as Enclave soldiers are one of the toughest hostile factions in the Capital Wasteland.

The description is a courtesy of Wikipedia, but from what I can tell is pretty accurate to the game, I would know I have more then 3 weeks in total play time, and 3 full playthroughs.
As for playability this bathtub of armor is quite stable, and can be swooshable in the right hands. Its rotors spin easily, and its pylons can pivot easily as shown. As for the landing gear it doesn't fold up, and I only added it as a support. I made enclave figures, but never photographed them. More movie, and game creations are on the horizon.

*Aims Tesla cannon at it* Very detailed and realistic! If you add the Enclave minifigures with it then I will give you a cookie!

Awesome! I love movie and game inspired creations, and this does not disappoint! I like how you incorporated the hoses into the fuselage, and the rotors are well done. I cant wait to make MOCs inspired by the next gen games coming out soon. Ghosts, Halo, gonna be fun. Oh and Destiny looks like itll present great material. Im probably gonna try to build lots of things from that. Anyways, keep it up!

Quoting Danny Morgan Very impressive, the size and proportions seem just about perfect. Fallout is my all-time favourite theme, so I really appreciate high quality builds like these. I don't know about you, but I'm getting really impatient for Fallout 4 to be released!
Thanks. Its my favorite game series, but Bethesda is more likely to milk the Elder Scrolls for cash a bit before they release fallout 4. I will most likely be preordering it, and will get any higher editions if they come out with any.

Most impressive. You got the crazy shaping of that down quite well. I see quite a few interesting techniques in there too...

It must be fun to swoosh it around and it has some really nice part usage, like the engines. That technique is a well-known fighter jet nose, but you used it differently. Nice!

Never played the game, but this has to be one of your most impressive creations yet. All the design flair and epic news of the others, but with such incredible shaping. This is my favourite of all your posts so far. Very well done!
