MO R1: Cancerous Wizard
This my entry to the 2013 MocOlympics.
About this creation
2013 MocOlympics

"The 12 Signs of the Zodiac."

You know... Leo, Scorpio, Gemini and so on. Choose any ONE of the 12 Zodiac signs and build a MOC incorporating that ONE sign into it. (in case you haven't noticed, you're only allowed to choose ONE of the twelve signs). No size limits.

I have chosen the sign of Cancer. And have tied in the symbol and the name to the Evil Wizard.

The Cancerous Wizard believes he has made it possible to defeat the Good Wizard. Can he succeed and destroy the world? (You can see Cancer's sign)

The Cancerous Wizard. They call him that because wherever he goes, death and destruction follow. He is seemingly unstoppable (except for the good wizard of course), for he can only die of old age (sounds strange.. :P). Therefore, the people exiled him to an island, and the bridge across is guarded constantly by the good wizard.

The Cancerous Wizard's side. It is said that if you look closely when the Wizard is using his magic, that you can perceive the symbol of Cancer.

The very cool tower thing that is on the Evil Wizard's side.

A poor soul who was hung up in the tree left to die. (Ouch, that sounded very cruel...) :(

Dead trees.

The back of the evil side.

The Cancerous Wizard with the prison on the back of his side.

The prison, with two special guardian poles that keep the prisoners inside the prison.

These poor souls were trying to recover the treasure, but got captured and drowned inside of the prison when the tide rose. Yeah, pretty evil guy, having prisoners dye being the poorest yet richest people in the world. (I feel really bad for the guy hanging up. Yet more so for the guy on top.) :(

All the treasure inside of the prison.

Rockwork.

Okay, so I messed this up. I thought that the animal was a lobster because of this photo. Ahh! Nope, the animal is a crab Andrew! (Duh me!) So yeah, this was originally supposed to look that that photo...

The good wizard's side.

The BIG tree.

I added roots coming out of the side of the mountain too! I'm pretty sure someone else has done that before though...

A smaller tree.

A cool photo of the good wizard watching the bridge.

"My prreecious!" Just a little funny thing I decided to add the the MOC!

"Gollum's" cave...

Rockwork! This is the most extensive rockwork I have ever done. It came out quite well for the amount of pieces I have.

And more rockwork.

The Cancerous Wizard's side with the dead trees.

More rockwork.

And some more rockwork!

The whole MOC photo. I like this photo best.

How the bridge works. This is my brother's idea shown in this MOC.

For all you Lord of the Rings fans: You shall not pass! :)

A few more photos of the wizards dueling on the bridge.

One more photo of the sign.

Thanks for looking! God Bless!

Side Note: This entry was NOT Based off of my brother's entry! Although I think his is way cooler than mine! :)

This is well composed and clever. I think some of the landscaping's a bit rough around the edges, perhaps fewer jagged chunks of rock and the use of small plates to build up terrain would have helped. The use of the samurai headpiece for the crab/lobster claws is brilliant, though I think that it could have been executed better. Still, a very promising concept. Great bridge design too.

Well done. Inevitably you will get comparisons to your bro's build but it has enough differences and unique ideas to make it your own so good job on that. Good luck!

THis looks awesome! I like the originality in the sign of Cancer, I would have never thought of that! The bridge looks wonderful, so great job on that too. Good luck in the contest!
