"Mars will never be free until the sands run red with Earther blood" Slogan of the Mars Rebellion
About this creation
The Mars Resistance has been active on Mars in one form or another almost since the colony's foundation.

In 2243, the Free Mars movement started out as a peaceful political initiative to achieve Martian independence through political means. A lack of sympathy on Earth and increased exploitation of the colony from Earth-based corporations resulted in the organization being co-opted by more militant factions, and resorting to acts of terrorism to make its message heard.

In one of the first Martian uprisings after discovery by the Centauri and before the war with Minbar, freedom fighters converted maintenance/salvage craft into fast and heavily armed, yet very dangerous fighters.

They were built out of desperation...

They were not successful as vehicles of revolt, but were successful later. The design of these craft, which were viewed with disdain initially by Earthgov military commanders, upon closer look, held the pattern for a space superiority fighter which after development came to be known as the Starfury.

Quoting Stephan N Here I like how you've done the hoses through the wings that makes the thing very realistic. Very good work Ron
Thank you sir. It certainly gives an old tech look and feel.

Thanks all...here is the link: http://www.starshipmodeler.com/b5/wb_mainttug.htm The tug here is the descendant of my little craft and in my story line was the progenitor of both the Starfury and the tug seen in the link. I think there were only two or three eps where this little guy was even viewable...I might be wrong.

Cool little fighter there Ron. I'm afraid that I don't remember much about the show or any vehicles, but I love the overall design. Do you have a link to any images from the show of the craft? Nice one!
