Devastator Class Railgun
Welcome, unauthorized MOCcers, to a new, top secret, creation from Prasad Heavy Industries. Welcome to, the Devastator.
About this creation

Say hello to my little friend!
The Devastator class rail gun is designed to be awesome a really functional gun. It can lob a grape from one side of the room to another! And it might be able to accelerate a cruise missile to Mach 14.......

There were some things that motivated me to build this:
1) the last level on the video game, Ace Combat Six
2) people seem to be building large military bases; or at least LukeClarenceVan, a builder I admire, recently built a large launch facility. All I have to say about that is: mine is larger :-)

This shot is brought to you by the Porcupine Insurance. (not Geico!) 15 hours can save you -.00015% on tank insurance :-)

Dat vent!

Of course, the gun is large, you can't just have it sitting in the middle of a desert where no one can see it. This particular one is built out of glacier; hence the white tiles ice flows, and this rock work. Watch out penguins!

Look at that! SNOTted stuff that somehow help the gun!

Of course, no secret facility is, well, a secret facility, without a submarine pen. Obviously. And no, James Bond can't blow up this one :-p

Control rooms and *sneezes* 'scuse me, stuff....

Uhm. This is the, uhm. Bird! Look over there!

Fully extended!

Wow. That is a big ice flow! About the size of one of those LEGO bow pieces.....

And the "meat" of the gun. All sorts of big wigs, fake teeth, and whatnot, are around there. Very scary buttons in there as well; one turns on a TV that constantly runs moderated cause the show that would be here is humanity doing a face palm

Dat greebling! Very important stuff, though....

Overing Alling.

Now, lets talk the stages a warhead/missile/grape goes through when loaded:
1) its in.
2) its armed (nukes are ready to blow, grapes are ready to explode)
3) its accelerated (the magnets are so powerful, you have to put some tiles outside of them to protect, you know, Clifford the Big Red dog)
4) war head leave barrel; shock rings are sent out via the muzzle gaps
5) SPLAT! Or Boom! or Crap! Misfire!

And finally, the warhead... (I couldn't find a grape)

Of course, I have to give credit to my brother, who helped with photography. He was the guy behind the background, holding up the cloth!

Thanks for watching!

-Edit-

Yay! Thanks to all for this :-)

Thanks for the comment! Um, well, the text/commentary is suppose to be sorta random; see my other MOCs, and you might be able to understand/enjoy it better. Thanks!

Quoting El Barto ! Wicked gun there, Chief! But is that as high as it goes?
In the picture, I think it gets really close to the highest elevation for the gun. Not 100%, as I just sorta set it randomly and took the photos, but pretty sure. Be even so, there is a point where the gun elevation would be a bit.....unnatural. Thanks for the comment! :-)

Thanks! Unfortunately, the grape firing feature wasn't applied to the gun; something about it being "unfeasible".....
