Finally, after 2 months and around $120 in lego orders the A39 Tortoise Heavy Assault tank is complete. This build began in august after i got may first actual job and I began to be able to purchase my own parts. It all began with the suspension and then I bought the tracks. At first I was going to have a subtractor/adder in it but that failed to be able to move the chassis after more parts were added, so i decided to have two XL motors with 5:1 ratios driving the beast. Then I decided to post the version on Mocpages and that was really helpful because I had flaws that people pointed out. So here is my finished version, it has a lot of modifications from the previous one mainly it was smoothing it out and getting the correct angles for stuff. Features working gun elevation and horizontal movement, has a working V12 engine, working headlights, movement, opening hatches, and working gun traverse lock.
About this creation
length with gun:72 studs
length without gun:52 studs
here you are looking at the QF 32 94MM gun
the engine hatches opened up revealing the Rolls Royce-Meteor V12
hatches open and the mg turret moved

pretty good tank! only problem is too many studs! 4/5
I basically exhausted all of my grey tiles on it and it would have been too thick in certain parts if they were smooth due to the angles but its better than the previous version. Hopefully after Christmas I will get a large order of smooth tiles so until then then there will be some studs poking through on my next tank (probably a Sherman firefly)
The scale is right and the model is just brimming with detail! I like how you corrected the design and added so much more detail to it (along withthe thicker gun), lile the gun lock and the MG turret on the roof (and it spins!). This is the awesomest large scale tank model I've ever seen for sure!
