Nick Barrett vs Brick Savage "Lovecraftian Lore: H.P. Lovecraft was one of the most influential horror/sci-fi writers, creating the infamous Cthulhu and inspiring the popular Alien films. Build a Lovecraftian MOC, be it a scene from one of his novels, one of the many things he inspired, or even something of your own in his style."

My Opponents outstanding creation Cthulhu's Watching by Nick Barrett

Here is my entry for the 2nd round, I took my inspiration from the short story The Hound. This is the trophy room of the two ghouls in HP Lovecraft's story. It's full of the treasures they have found digging up graves.

Thanks for viewing everybody.

Awesome work! I suggest that you invite "Jackson Williams" to the group. He's a talented builder.

Fantastic work there! You had probably the toughest category and the toughest opponent. This scene is overflowing with detail. Love Cthulhu on the shelf. Great job!

It's a great build, and I love the archivist tendency here. I had to go with Nick's build though, he just nailed that Lovecraftian paranoia so perfectly.

This is really quite a beautiful room. Great use of colour and texture, though ultimately it just leaves me wanting more. I can see the earth on the left, and was really hoping you'd built some tunnels, maybe an upper level... Unfortunately the room alone lacks as many convincing details as Nick's, and he has my vote.

Although LukeClarenceVan... came up with the category, I'm glad to be a judge in this bracket (for reasons that are obvious to those who know me). Great choice of story, Chris. Though Lovecraft himself considered it to be not such a good one after some time, it is the first one to mention the legendary Necronomicon. Your entry is clean and very well designed with some nice extras, but unfortunately my vote goes to your opponent for the rich details. Nevertheless, good luck with the other judges.

Deliciously detailed! I like the idea of using those technic pieces as scrolls! Was that a CPO head I saw tucked away under that alcove... hee, hee! May the Force be with you! :)
