Bracket 1: Gadget Mad Show us what happens when an already loopy inventor goes entirely off the hook. Does he go the Bond villian route or is he more goofy like Dr. Doofenschmirtz? The crazier your inventor's creations the better for you!

My inventor is closer to the goofier side. Let's just say he likes food!
The narrative will be the scientist (insert name), just so you know....

Oh, Hello! Welcome to my laboratory! I heard you were stopping by! Well, let me give you atour of my building and gadgets. I have four inventions: two ray guns, one thinking cap, and the fourth is... well you'll find out!

This is my thinking cap! Without it... well... I.. I don't know what to think!

This is my desk in my workshop! (side note, I love the desktop lamp! Not sure who came up with the design)

This is my own little laser cannon I've been working on. It's special! What does it do? Well, I'll tell you.

When I fire it at this statue...

...it turns the statue into a drumstick! Brilliant, just brilliant! I will never again be without food!

This is my office!

I can see you! This is also where I can watch the testing processes.

And this is an aerial view of the testing area.

And this is my pride and joy! My specially designed laser cannon! I made it myself (now how about that?) :)

This is the control panel for the laser. It has lot of buttons!

And if you press this green button it super charges the scientist and he doesn't have to eat vegetables ever again!...

*Whirring, charging up laser noises*

Vwalah!....... Uh oh..... Whoops! Looks like I just turned the scientist into a carrot!.....
I wonder... if it (or is it he?) tastes good? :)

How did that work? (behind the scenes: I didn't just switch out the guy with the carrot... it might be hard to see, but I'll explain.

Well, there is this knob on the back of the MOC... (shown below)

And when you turn this knob...

...this spins! So you can have one guy on one side, and another on the other side. Pretty neat huh?

Here you can see both sides.

This is my workshop floor, some photos of this were seen earlier.

The roof can be removed...

...so you can see inside better. Yay!

Let's go to the roof now!

What's this!?!

My greatest creation of course!!! My RoboMech!

Photos of the robot (RoboMech)!!!! This guy came out great! And yes, the gun does fire and the drill does spin.

I added this to the bottom just for some randomness... :P

The laser gun floor.

Office floor.

Top floor (a.k.a. workshop floor).

The roof.

Photos of the entire build.

Now, let's see if we can change the carrot back into the scientist!

*Whirring noise*

Uhh.... Who's that?

It's Chris Phipson! Hats off to you and to all the judges! Thanks guys!

Thanks for looking! God bless!

This one truly looked like it was fun to build! All the details are wonderful and the mech is wicked cool. Functionality is always a plus! Great job in putting up a spectacular fight. I would be hard pressed to vote on both yours and Mark's. Excellent!

It was an honour competing against you Andrew! You are really improving, building wise, and I'm looking forward to all the amazing MOCs you will be turning out! Thanks for the well-wishes and keep on brickin'!

Quoting LukeClarenceVan The Revanchist This is a very fun take on the category, which I enjoyed perusing. However, I think if you'd fleshed out the building and perhaps smoothed out some of the stud texture I'd like this even more. As it is, your opponent receives my vote. Awesome entry though!
I tried to focus more on the gadgets (the category) than on the laboratory building. Oh well, at least now I know what to work on.

Again a very tough decision. I'm sorry, Andrew, but my vote goes to your opponent. Although the fun factor is higher in your creation, I prefer the clean design and little details in his one. Good luck with the last judge.

Lots of really fun elements here, the spinning chair and the excellent robomech really top it off. Glad that you went with the 'goofy' route! Good luck with the remaining judges!

Oh man you guys put us through it. Both of you building mad professors and their giant robots, and lads with little play functions, how to chose? However I've decided to give you my vote. The bot is fantastic and the tower lab a great location. Plus I'm partial to a machine that can turn anything into chicken.
