Alan Mann Racing Team...
…and a Lotus 49.
About this creation
This was part of my display for the STEAM Lego Exhibition in the UK. Unfortunately I forgot to take any photos of my own display so this is a recreation of one half of my table. Although many of you would have seen these builds individually this is the first time I have photographed them all together to create a single scene.

The other half of my table was used to display; Iron Man, Blacktron Space Marine, Cyber Angel and Jetfire.

This was my first exhibition and although I was a little nervous at first it all worked out fine. In fact I had a great time and we were so busy that by the end of the two day show I was so tired I could hardly string a coherent sentence together. An estimated 8,000 people visited the show and I swear that almost all of them asked me to transform Jetfire ;).

My table was positioned next to Nick Barrett so we combined our two CRT builds to create a 1960s pit scene, it proved very popular with all ages.

Ape, this one is for you, hopefully next year we can get all our teams together and realise your CRT vision. I hope you like it mate. Get well soon.

Lightweight Ford GT40

Mk 1 Ford Escort

Lotus 49. Although this is not part of the Alan Mann Team the Lotus Team did use the transporter for a season.

Fiat Bartoletti Transporter Type 2

Transporter fully loaded

Me and Nick :D

I would like to say a big thank you to all at the Brickish Association who made us feel really welcome. It was a fantastic event full of amazing builders and stunning creations of all kinds. I am very proud to have been a part of it.

Sorry, miss read for "haven't commented on your latest".....Hmmmm, not sure what's going on there. How come you can't? What happens?

Quoting sam the first Hi Joe! Are there any more Lego shows in the UK that you know of?
Hi Sam, for some reason I can not leave a comment on your latest!! Go to http://www.brickish.org/default.aspx and you should find loads of events across the UK. You need to be an AFOL to join but the site is full of useful info.

Nice, your two scenes look perfect together! I like the race hauler an the GT 40, the other two are very well built but don't really speak to me (nothing to do with your LEGO rendering of them). If you are even in the USA you should try coming to Brickfair, it gets an estimated 20,000 people every year! 8,000 actually sound more fun though, Brickfair has gotten so big it is almost more work then fun. If I'm ever in England I will make sure to check out your local con too! It may have been a lot of work but I bet it was fun!

Sorry to write only now, but I have a lot of things to do at the university. It's cool to take part in a lego event, as an exhibitor and hear and see, that people like your mocs. I was at exhibitions with my tiny rcs and it was great, too. Your vehicles look cool with the big lego figures! :)

Quoting Joost Cumps Epic, the right word for the builds on that table! When photographed with some "real life reference" (I mean you and Nick ;-) ) the quality is even more obvious. How is your Ford P68 project coming? I intend to delete my version when yours is ready...
Thanks Joost, it was great fun but exhausting. I was due to dismantle the Lotus to rebuild as the P68 but I just ran out of time. MR JOOST if you delete your P68 I will never talk to you again! ;)

So the first year you couldn't find me, the second year I couldn't make it, and thus year it completely passed me by that it was even happening! One year, when I'm not tied down by the wonderful world of education, I shall attend once again and I shall actually meet you guys! ;) Awesome set-up, I would have loved to see it in person and glad it all went OK. When I manage to return to the brick, I shall finish my transporter and it shall be wonderful! Its all demolished in a box at the moment, but I still have the stickered "ABARTH" section on the shelf! Great job again guys! George

Quoting David Roberts It was great to meet you and Nick and to see your creations too. You had quite a unique and impressive display.
