A nice ship, looks like the stuff from the sci-fy of old (as apposed to more modern works such as Star Wars). Nice job on making it light up, looks very nice. Doubt I will get around to it, but I might try and enter the contest. IDK, I'm not sure I have the parts to build what I want. Nice ship.
Quoting Gerald F.
thanks Gerald! I got them from Costco where I work, it has 4 led bands of 2 feet, + a remote control to do effects, and change colors, it s not expensive, [$30 can dollars], and produce no heat!
Quoting Dr. Monster
thanks Doc! at first, I did a micro castle, but, it did nt inspire me much, it then transformed into a skyscraper, and I finally turned it into a ship, the lights where the inspiration to the final version to create something special.
Quoting Michael Rutherford
thanks Mike! great idea, I should have tought of that, I did this after work, and was tired, it did nt occur to me to do that, turning the lights off would be a good tip to apply, lol, attack indeed!
Another illuminating build from Cyberfrank! You tuned the criteria on itís ear! Well done. The black backdrop is an excellent idea for this space ship. Next time, try laying the cloth out flat on a table top and then placing a short stand on top of the cloth and resting the ship upon that stand on its side instead of on itís belly. Then take the pic from directly overhead. That way gravity holds everything in place, and the stand is completely concealed from the camera. This is a cool little build. Just tell the crew to turn off the lights before they enter the Blacktron sector. Attack!
I like it

Cool ship! Nice job, the lights are a sweet addition.
Excellent Cyberfrank! Clever perspective on the challenge. CS in 4X4, Blacktron will never see it coming until it's too late. As a rule to your comment below: When in doubt, ALWAYS go with style. ;) Good luck!
Wow frank fantastic entry ! Classic space in 4 x 4 is it like the tartis inside is actually 16 x 16 :-) I really like how you used all those 1 x 4 curved slopes!
They really make the ship awesome. Excellent work good luck Frank!
