getting bigger by the day, more bricklink orders, ebay etc, starting to come together at last, well into the 2nd year now, just need the tan/grey pieces for the deck now, going to take a few thousand atleast,at the moment working on the turret casements, going the same idea as the funnels inverted slants sideways to give the round look and also a smooth surface for the turrets to turn on,trial and error, the bridge looks about right now, until the front section is connected its hard to see if its looking right, according to measurements i have taken from blueprints its correct but with the big guns may need an extra 6 inches added to the bow, would be good if lego decided to hand over some surplus tan pieces LOL.By far my best MOC and biggest yet,
It really is an impressive battleship.
I am curious to know when you expect to present the final result. Here on the pictures, part of the aft deck is missing, where the OS2U Kingfisher catapults should be. You've probably built the deck, now that you mention that you also have built new OS2U´s. Are they the same scale as those you have built for Arizona, or are they redesigned?
Looking forward to see the finished result.
Simply astonishing. Let me ask: are you building the WWII version, or the 1980's refit? I personally prefer the refit (much more firepower), but then again, the original has sooooo many details with the 5in guns.....
I can't get over how fantastic this build is. You are a huge inspiration to me to build the Gipsy Danger. There's no connection, but, hey, you inspired me and that's epic. Almost as epic as this build will be.
