Collab: Mount Tara Brea
Hey Guys! I finally got around to posting my most recent creation. This is a Collaborative project between Eli Willsea and myself. We took this baby to our first lego convention, Brickcon 2013 and we wound up getting "Best Castle Building" award!
About this creation
Took us around a month and a half to build. which is really quick for a creation this size. It was 160 studs deep by 112 studs wide. Easily over 20,000 pieces. I could not have done this without Eli! Go and check out his page!

We also did the cool video of it being assembled seriously watch this it is awesome.

If we do any other collaboratives in the future, we will do videos like this too, we even have an old one up from another creation.

Anywho, enough jabbering, to the project.

I don't know how to brake this to you all but the waterfall works. The water at the bottom of the waterfall is fed onto a tread, the next tread takes it up to where the water is brought up back to the mouth of the waterfall with buckets attached to it, and is from there spat down into the pool at the bottom to get fed back up and around and back down again. Essentially it is a self feeding waterfall :D It was built with 2 different power functions motors. By the time we got all the kinks worked out of it I was really ready to just destroy it. The next one we build wont use those treads you see, they have a incredibly small amount of tension they can take before they brake apart.

A video will be up shortly.

Ah yes, transportation would have been impossible had we not made it modular, it splits into 3 big chunks

Thank you for looking and to God be the glory!

Quoting David . ....Video?....
Talk to Eli about that man, Eli was the one that took the video and has never sent me it despite a few emails I have sent. A better phrasing for "A video will be up shortly" is "A video will be up as soon as Eli sends it to me" :P

Quoting The evil Jack-o-lantern Wow, Awesome!! Keep up the great work! Do you have to pay to get in to a LEGO show? ~The evil JOL
It was $55 Dollars to enter in, but we got a bunch of free Lego as door prizes and such worth over $150, then there was housing and transportation and too, but if you think of it as just buying legos for cheap its not so bad.

Amazing MOC! The PU on the window pic is great, the sheep are brilliant, and everything else is wicked too. Great job.

The pictures do a really good job of showing the detail. I think if you somehow put a light source into the chandelier it would lend a cool feel to the throne room. Otherwise, thanks a million for sharing! I still can't get over the awesomeness of it!
