Yeti Discovered (Cryptozoological Proof)
About this creation
One of the categories I came up with for the MocOlympics was 'Cryptozoological Proof'. This was the sort of thing I had in mind for the category when I dreamt it up.

Bought a Yeti the other day, except it's white, got four wheels and not covered in spikes. Shame really, this one would be far more impressive to turn up to work in.

Haha, fantastic! All the different spiky elements are great (teeth, fur, etc.)!

Well well, back from the pit of no return and this is what I find. Love the look, the shadow look works for him. That face seems oddly huggable though. I have the overwhelming urge just to tackle this guy in a bear hug. Nicely done David :)

He's very different than I imagined. Yeti's live in the snow and yet he's pitch black. Interesting. oh, and lol at El Barto's comment.

Very nice! I like that you finally combined the respective flat and minifig scale worlds, it's very satisfying to look at. :D

Quoting Jared . Well, now it exists beyond doubt... nice one!
Still need to get those DNA checks made, it could be a very obese bear!

Quoting David Roberts Shuperbly shaggy! I'm expecting the Yeti to bend down and gobble up the lecturer as a quick snack. Those diamond eyes make him look either shocked or angry to me, I'm not sure which.
I tried him with round eyes and it just didn't work.

He looks like a polish sheep shear cutout version of the abominable snowman from the old stop motion rudolph the red nosed reindeer movie.

Quoting matt rowntRee There it is, I knew it! This is the kind of memorable thing I figured you had in mind. The symposium/freak show a la King Kong or Mighty Joe Young. Great idea with unlimited and hilarious potential. Love this guy, the fur steals the show. He is actually more adorable than abominable. Excellent!
Very much in the spirit of Professor Challenger I hoped.

Quoting clayton Marchetti The first thing I was drawn to where those teeth than the eyes I really like the squares turned 45 degrees . It gives him an angry defiant look where as round ones he might have looked scared or surprised . I love all that great fur all over him. I just hope the guy at the podium doesn't poke him or things might get ugly.
He's heavily sedated, but how long the drugs last is anyone's guess.
