About this creation

Once again, huge thank you to Olive Seon for inspiration. Check him out on Flickr. Up to now, I'm pretty happy with it. I hope to finish the whole Jaeger, but that'll require some orders. Wish me luck in the process, and good luck to Mark in the MO.

Hey guess what, I saw Pacific rim last night and found this robot in the movie and I'm thinking (how on earth is he going to make that)! Then I realized that this is Alex were talking about here :D

Hey man, here are the builders I was talking about, here's the links - http://www.mocpages.com/home.php/21694 - http://www.mocpages.com/home.php/7327 - http://www.mocpages.com/home.php/24930 - http://www.mocpages.com/home.php/45624 - http://www.mocpages.com/home.php/81880 - http://www.mocpages.com/home.php/6823 - http://www.mocpages.com/home.php/28622 Also here is the LOTR math problem I was talking about: On average, Gollum says "my precious" 23 times a day. After Frodo and Sam have been travelling with Gollum for one week, how many times will they have heard him say "my precious"? Bu the way, I didn't make this one up (I found it on the internet).

You are doing a good job of maintaining a specific esthetic during this project. Each sub-assembly seems to enjoy a complete commitment to accuracy. Don't let a shortage of parts trick you into compromise. Take as long as you need to maintain this perfect color/detail balance. That said, I can't wait to see this thing when all the pieces come together. Attack!

Well, you hit that point where your MOC's really took off (141 likes on the Calvin mosaic). Now you're averaging double-digit likes on every MOC; you have my congratulations and continued encouragement. But anyway...nice...mech head? Great work so far, can't wait to see more WIP's!

Quoting Achintya Prasad To respond to your question.... If you are making an order, take a look at the Dark Blue prices. I think they are much more costly. DBG for me....
Okay, I was making an order, but referring to dark grey pieces. I don't think the dark blue variety is as good. And you're right, they're probably more expensive too.

Quoting Toa Infernum Cool! While it looks great itself, I'm feeling too much accuracy to the original. I wish this was dark blue, but I get that that's a rare color. I also think the plate behind his head are a little tall. How are you going to integrate the reactor "heart"? I think the head would be more proportioned if he had a larger jaw, but that's probably just me. Great work so far! Good luck on this awesome project! :D
You are so right - If the light blue that it is was more plentiful, that would be my first choice, bar none. Since I have a couple pieces of that color, heh, I decided dark gray was the next best. The part about the jaw is too true, but I don't want to go back to re-shape because I am short on pieces, already. I'll make a piece order, probably, but I want to be efficient. But who knows, maybe when I'm all done this I'll still have some pieces left to re-shape this and that. I am not exactly sure how I'll incorporate the "heart" but that's not my biggest worry. Thank you for the wonderful feedback!

Nice shaping with the front of the armor! My only critique is that the plates behind the head seem too tall and close together. I might be remembering this wrong, but I think there were only three plates, one behind the head and one curving over each shoulder.
