About this creation

So yes, I am back! An uploader outage (at least for me) kept me from posting. And yes, school was also a factor. But finally, I can unveil the latest space fighter by none other than Prasad Heavy Industries! Cheap applause and cheering ensues

Sleeksleeksleeksleeksleeksleeksleek, Vic Viper!

The Scabbard Class Interceptor was designed to take on the best of other Earthlings, such as, but not limited to, Clayton Marchetti, and Nick Barrett! You can tell, then, what school has done to PHI's brain ;-D

Dat stripe! X4!

Developed by our laser department, the HX-v345 are long range lasers. You can see two of them, both of which are mounted on systems that allow it to swing out from the bottom. Each has a range of three light years (though it may take three years to hit a target :-0)

A better view of the long range cannons. Also visible are some of the shorter range defense lasers located on the clean lines of the fighter. And I haven't made a joke yet.

A full view of the bottom. Going from the back to the front of the ship are the weapons:
x2 Wing mounted HX-564 mid-ranged laser cannons
x8 Rear firing M-37521 Mid-long range defense missiles (located in the dark bley canisters next to the two Warp capable engines)
x2 HX-v345 long range lasers
x2 HV-3334 short range rail guns (next to the black lines)
x4 HD-4483 Pew-Pew guns.

And a partridge in a pear tree!

Da engines! The awkward angles I that I carried through out the ship made the two large light bley cylinders fit with a bit of a squeeze. Also visible are the canisters.

Since this is an interceptor, the Scabbard Class has a very high top speed: Warp 4. Now, that means 40, count it, 40 times the speed of standing still. In short, how fast I can swoosh....

Very advanced cockpit! It has a HUD, RADAR, LIDIR, ASMR, PB&J, FORMeR, S-Scan, and docking port for your iPhone.

NO ONE SAID THE PILOT HAD TO BE A MINIFIGURE :-D

Pose! Click!

Captain "Big D.", the leading ace of the Slovenian-NATO alliance, strapping into his Scabbard! Because he can!

Big D lining up for take off! I can see on my own instrument panel that his iPhone has synced, and he is listening to a spot of Katy Perry. Something about roaring....

Blurry swoosh!

There you have it fellas! The successor to other great interceptors! The F-14! The Lester Hayes! That guy from my football team! My brother when he tries to intercept the mail and take the LEGO catalog!

The Scabbard Class

Thanks for watching, and thank goodness for Firefox, allowing to finally post something. Many builds coming soon :-D

Very nice and very sleek! Its smart to have PB&J in the cockpit, you never know what kind of situations the pilot can get into! Oh and can you please explain to me what a VIC Viper is? I have seen a lot of creations with that title lately.-Silly

Quite possibly the sleekest Vic Viper I've ever seen... looks super-fast and swooshable! Nice to see a 'scabbard' to counterpoint my 'sword' too!

Quoting Michael Rutherford Such a slick profile. The wings really define it. Long, sweeping... it looks fast just standing still. Canít say Iím a fan of your pilot, but he does do a good job of helping the viewer appreciate the actual size of the craft. It's a refreshing departure from the normal row boat sized fighters we usually see. Those two huge engine nozzles centered in the rear remind me of an F111. Cool ship! I really have to "hand" it to you on that last pic! (Why yes... yes I did say that.) Attack!
Thanks Michael! The pilot idea came for two reasons: 1) I don't really like to use minifigs, and 2) you will notice that over time, fighter aircraft get larger and larger. To keep that trait, I went with a mini brick-built pilot. It wasn't easy to fit in detail and make it look "good", so admittedly, it could've been better, but I felt to keep it plain...

Quoting Tim C So, you went with the VV approach. Well, you can't go wrong there. I love how sleek it looks. I would imagine that this thing would inflict a lot of damage before you even knew it was there. Gonna be tough to beat. Great work, Achintya and best of luck in the contest.
Thanks Tim! Indeed, I decided to go with noVVember, hence the Vic Viper. Your entry was also brilliant!

Quoting matt rowntRee Just freakin' awesome! Massively sleek, that would be handy if you ran out of munitions, just impale the enemy. That's simply handy. Great shaping and color blocking. Looks like it would be impossible to spot on scanning. Superb!
Huh, I never thought of it as a flying sword, but yeah that would work. Stealth, of course, is the byproduct of the shaping. Thanks Matt!
