Hi everyone. Sorry I have been so quiet recently, a month ago my 3rd son Hector was born – Yay :D . I have also been building some commission builds for Bright Bricks - the certified Lego professionals from the UK.
This build forms a small part of the London Skyline Snow Globe currently on display in Covent Garden. The client is The Lego Group. I can’t believe my luck!!
If I had more time then I would have added a little more detail around the base but this is what was requested.
Hi Joe, hope you are well. I'm pleased with your message, those people are very smart to ask a genious builder to build stuff :-) To be honest, your moc is very good, but I don't like the building. :-) I uploaded my new techrod, but then mocpages came up with some crashes, maybe people missed it... Much greetings
@ David, Tim and Nick - Thank you for your kind comments, it was a tricky build especially creating the arches around the edge. Luckily I finished this build just before Hector was born. MOCs will be few and far between for the next few months or so as we adjust to the new clan member. I hope to post again in the new year. I will of course look out for your creations though :).
First, off...Congratulations, Joe! Three kids now? I guess there will be some longer gaps in between builds now, huh? Well, this is excellent. The shaping around the edges is superb, and the stacked texturing is just excellent. Nice to see something new from you, Joe, and best of luck.
Congratulations on the new arrival :). Hope you're getting some sleep. Doesn't seem to have stopped you building. This is magnificent. Next time I'm in Covent Garden I'm going to check it out for real.

Congrats on the third son hope all is well I know your getting Plenty of sleep ha ha ha. Awesome job on the Dome! It looks great. Congrats on the work from TLG that's awesome.
Thanks for the comments guys, there is nothing more important than family but it is always nice to receive good news elsewhere. I am not sure how many more commissions I will get so I am going to enjoy it whilst it lasts. No plans of giving up the day job just yet ;)
Wow, Joe, that's some excellent sculpting! Great job! :-)) And congrats on your 3rd "Family MOC", I hope you can sleep well. ;-)) My 1st one is half a year old now and I love every moment with him. :-))
Congratulations Joe on a third! Oy!!! Welcome to this little rock Hector! The dome is awesome too. XD And did I read right about TLG contracting you? Fantastic fortune! You've had quite the year sir. Couldn't be any more happy for you! =D
Thanks guys great to hear from you all. @ MC - I displayed some mocs at Lego show in early October and met a representative from Bright Bricks (certified lego professionals) who asked if I would be interested in doing some builds for them. I was not expecting their client to be TLG!! They have a warehouse full of Lego - it is amazing! ! I am currently building a few more smaller builds and hopefully more in the future. It is difficult juggling family, work and Lego so I won't be building my own mocs for a while. I cant believe my luck. :)
Thanks Geoffrey family life is a bit chaotic at the mo but great fun having a new person to get to know. About the commission - I can't believe I have been asked to do this, hopefully there will be more in the future. @ Achintya - I understand what you mean about the studs but I am not sure how snot or tiles would be any better. The client actually wanted me to use this sphere technique. Thanks guys
Hey Joe, my dearly congratulations to the birth of your son Hector. All the best wishes for him, your wife your other kids and you my friend! Your Millenum Dome looks really good. Really cool that you have so much success with your builds :)
