LOM RC:Crossing the Bridge
About this creation
"We had gathered many Mythronian stragglers, and were ready to leave Rainos. For if we did not board a ship soon, we would be stuck in this land the entire winter! It was beyond dangerous to be traveling this close to winter, let alone with only a few men. I had to scout ahead, because on top of our limited men....we had a dangerous prisoner! The somewhat of a campsite I saw was stocked with goods. The people of Rainos were preparing for winter as much as Mythronians, for this was the last harvest opportunity...

I approached the bridge before me, there was a guard who was dressed in Rainosian armor. I thought he would charge me at any second...but he just stood there, motionless.

Respecting his peaceful attitude, I walked forward. Before my foot touched the wood, he sprinted down the bridge"You are not allowed to pass." he said. My forehead wrinkled with anger.

I was tired of waiting for him to make a move, I bolted forward with my sword! I estimated it would slice right into his neck, but with surprising stamina...he blocked my attack! "You won't pass this bridge!" the soldier grunted!

Regaining his strength, he tossed me into the brush. Just then one of my soldiers arrive to help me...

He was defeated as quickly as he attacked. I was surprised by this Rainosian...for his age he was incredibly powerful!
Just as the first soldier was finished off, another came to help.

The Mythronian soldier saw what happened to his Brethren..he was prepared. He knocked blades with the bridge keeper, barely holding his ground. Using all his strength at once, he slightly pushed the soldier back.

I rallied my strength, and swung my blade at the Rainosian! My Mythronian brother was being overpowered at that very moment!

With my help we defeated the bridge keeper...or so we thought. He hit the ground like a dead man, surely he must be on the verge of death...

"I will not be defeated by you, Mythronians. I SHALL NOT LET YOU PASS!" shouted the Rainosian!

Beyond expectations, he rose again. All our swords crossed...everyone was fighting their way!

Suddenly, a young boy in armor came along. He seemed rather happy, as though he was just walking for fun...his expression immediately changed. We were fighting his father!

He darted across the bridge, hoping to save his father!

I threw my sword at him, feeling rather bad, killing a man slightly younger than I. Luckily it only hit his armor, and just rendered him unconscious.

I grabbed my sword, and whirled around to again help my fellow soldier. To my dismay he was dead, even worse, my shoulder came in nearly direct contact with my enemy's axehead.

I dropped, with what felt like a broken bone...my hope was gone. The bridge keeper proved to be more than resourceful!
If things weren't bad enough, our prisoner came just in time to kick the life out of our last man. Although still bond, she managed to escape.

"Princess!?! Where have you been, your father thought you to be dead!" "Never mind that, just cut me loose!"

*The guard cut her bonds with haste!* "Do you have anything for me to ride, I've been waling for days!"
"I have my steed but..." "Good, where is it?"

"Let me escort you over the bridge princess!" "Stop babbling, I'm not real royalty! I just happen to have a father, with the power to ask for you head!"
The two approached the steed, it would do the job well!
In a few hours the living bodies where moved to hospital...

Glad that's done with:D I hope you enjoyed!
God Bless! ~Brick

Quoting Halhi 141 I can assure you that the bridge wasn't originally Caleb's technique :P
I see, who invented it? Or is it as faceless as cobblestone paths? ~Brick

Quoting Adam Brunsting Looks really nice. It also looks like you took some tips from Luke Watkins. (That is not a bad thing) I like how you made the bridge, but I think that it is a little too steep. The water looks very nice.
About the bridge being steep...there's a place about 20 minutes from where I live...and there's a bridge that steep...so that's sorta why it's steep;)

Thanks very much! Not to boast, but I do really like this scale:) You can expect many more like these in the future...although they will mostly be very different locations. ~Brick
