My entry to Round 4 of Caleb's 4x4 Contest -- category "Mutations".
About this creation
This is my entry to Round 4 of Caleb's 4x4 Contest.

The category for this round is "Mutations" and my talented opponent for this round is J-Rod Smith.

After seeing the category, my thoughts soon turned to Blinky, everyone's favorite radioactive three-eyed mutant fish, from The Simpsons episode "Two Cars in Every Garage and Three Eyes on Every Fish" (season 2, episode 4). It is one of my all-time favorite episodes. The ending, when Marge serves Blinky to Montgomery Burns for dinner, effectively ending his gubernatorial aspirations, is simply classic.

The MOC shows a microscale version of the Springfield nuclear power plant on the top. Huge clouds are billowing out from the cooling towers, which doesn't exactly give us a warm fuzzy feeling about how things are going at the plant. And sure enough, we see that toxic waste is oozing from the reactor into the waters around Springfield. That's just where we find Blinky, whose has grown a third eye as a result of the generous dosage of "radiation therapy" he has received courtesy of Montgomery Burns and his power plant, which is operating with more than 300 regulatory violations.

Here are the two picture to prove the MOC fits within the 4x4 footprint and 32 brick height restrictions:

Quoting Jackal :] Why do every Caleb's 4x4 contest entry's have walls put against them on the last pictures? Well done by the way, awesome!
Thanks. To answer you question: The walls are "proof" that the build fits within the 4x4 footprint.

Quoting Mark McPeek Fantastic work! Excellent shaping and PU with the fish. It was a really close call, but in the end your opponent got my vote as I liked his idea and setup better.
Quoting David FNJ Nice work on this scene! Your combo of the well-designed fish and the neat part left me captivated by your details - you get my vote! Congrats!
Quoting George Marshall New judge here. This is fantastic! I loved this episode, and you built a fantastic representation of it! That 3-eyed fish looks wonder, and I doubt you could have built this any better. Congrats, you have my vote! Good luck!
Quoting Matt W. You got that awesome fish.....this is tough to judge, but....my vote goes to....you!
Quoting Caleb (Back from the Philippines) This was a really close call. Your fish looked great, and I liked the concept. It fit really well into the category. However, J-Rod had more innovation in his build, so he got my vote. Keep in mind, I might be adding another 2 judges for this round.
Thanks to all of the judges, and especially to Caleb for running this contest. I am looking forward to the next round.

Quoting Josh Walter Great build; a classic scene :)
Thanks. I definitely like the early era of the Simpsons. There are indeed some classics, including the "Blinky" episode that I've used as a subject here.

Quoting clayton Marchetti Positively brilliant! I love the steam over the cooling towers. Blinky looks fantastic! Awesome
Thanks. Yes, there's nothing like a cloud of steam over a cooling tower to make you feel like vacationing on Three Mile Island. :)

Thanks. As I said before, I can definitely consider a MOC a success if I got someone to laugh, or at least chuckle.

Quoting Caleb (Back from the Philippines) Nice job! Very lucky that I have seen this episode! :)
Thanks. The episode is a an old one, but certainly a good one. It's definitely among the ones that I remember the best (along with the "embiggens" episode, and a few others).

Quoting matt rowntRee Ehhhhxcelent! Great idea brilliantly executed.
Thanks. I gather from Burns reference that you are a fan as well :) And now a message for the judges: "Look, Smithers! Some foolish individual has left thousands and thousands of dollars on this table! Let's step outside and, hopefully, when we return, the money will be gone."

Quoting Nick Barrett Three eyed fish for the win!
Well, I don't know about if it will win (J-Rod has done some pretty good builds over the past few rounds), but I feel like this is a pretty good entry. I was trying to figure out a way to make the MOC even better by including Montgomery Burns' face, but it was too difficult at this scale.
