Tourney Intro: The Parade
Yes, I am a judge. No, I am not competing. I'm just building along to help people get a sense for... ah, who am I kidding? I did this for the fun of it (and to take my mind off of my upcoming LOM rank challenge).
About this creation

"Hooray! Huzzah! Hurry up! Huckleberry!"

"Hey! Matt, what are you doing with that brick?"

"Wha? Well, seein' as we ain't got no flowers, I was gonna throw it at the parade for the nice people goin' by."

"Ah, Matt, put that down. I have something better to throw."

"After all, fruit and flowers are both plants, right?"

Hmm, it's nice of them to provide snacks during the procession.

"Hold on! This is Sir MacFiercest's party? I beg pardon, my good sir, but you simply cannot bring that into the grounds!"

"Sir, you are addressing my company fool. Sir MacFiercest is the dashing man to your right, I'm afraid."

"Forgive me, your lordship, but the regulations stand. The rules specifically say that no species of porcus may be used as mounts in any Tourney events."

"That could be problematic. Mister Gibble, it looks like you and Aragoth will be sleeping on the ship."

"I'faith, 'tis a boorish fiat an' no mistake."

"Pst! Billy!"

"Yes, Matt?"

"That monster ate me last carrot and we have a national hero comin' up next! Whatta we gonna do?"

"Fear not, gentle Mattias..."

"...I think this one is worthy of a brick."

Fourth Wall (What is a term adapted to our modish and convenient online phraseology from its thespian origins, where it applied and still applies to the posterior edifice lining the stage, behind which the true gears and divers mechanisms of the theatre company truly lurked):

Marry, but this was a simple set-up for the thought put into it. I ran three experiments with this creation: I attempted to make a giant boar, I tried out a new wall technique and I made use of a new trick of photography all for the same eighteen-by-twenty-stud scene.

I will start with the wall. You might not be able to see it, but there is a subtle curve to the SNOTted portion of the construction.

When I first joined MOCpages, I read a MOC where the author wrote that every Lego builder worth his or her salt had invented a new way to make a round wall, so that has been rattling around in my head for some time. Now it has finally come out, with unattached columns of tiles linking together in front of a normal block-and-cylinder bend. I'm still working for that salt, though.

Next up is Aragoth, noble mount of Sir MacFiercest's venerable fool, Mr. Gibble. I have also wanted to make a great big pig for some time, and this was my excuse. He isn't perfect, but his face is fairly neat.

Mr. Gibble is part of my series of minifigures inspired by the works of Magma ! . As with the majority of minifigures on this page, Mr. Gibble plays a part (literally) in my recent chess set. The following pictures are of Team MacFiercest and Team Black of the Band of the Grey Shield as well as the enthusiastic audience.

I love how so many of the new Castle minifigures reek of bumpkin! They will be very helpful when I start my "billypunk" project.

Quoting Halhi 141 Looks like I'll be worth my salt within a few weeks - I've just come up with at least two new round wall techniques...
I'd say that you're already worth your salt - I was only quoting someone else. Luke CVTR, maybe - I saw it on a Doc Who MOC.

Too unrealistic. No member of Mythron would ever do such an act as to throw a brick at a national hero! Tsk Tsk. Anyways, I like the wall in the back, and the boar was pretty epic as well. Great joB!

Quoting Sean B I like the build, though I fear your description of the origins of the fourth wall are incorrect. The fourth wall refers to the (imaginary) wall at the front of a stage, not the back. The other three walls physically exist, but the fourth would be implied and omitted to allow the audience to see in. That's why breaking the fourth wall is the act of disregarding the imaginary wall to talk outwards to the audience. Just saying :-) But more importantly, I love your actual wall, and its curves.
Whoops. My dictionary betrayed me. Now I have to reword that whole rant!

Quoting Halhi 141 I really disagree with Brick. While it's not your best build, it is still really good, the giant pig and wall both look fantastic.
Thank you. He has the carrot and the stick, and you have the ointment.

Quoting ~ Brick Gilbert...Gilbert Gilbert. I am confident that you can do better! Every time I look at your Homepage, I see your best works and think wow! I know what you're capable of, and I know you have skill! In my honest to goodness opinion, this doesn't look like a GD MOC. It looks like a less-then experienced builder's MOC. I don't mean to be rude or offensive, but I miss the GD who built the Rise of Chivalry! Where have you gone?
Ha ha, where have I gone? It's this fabulous little place called BUSY. If you look at my LOM MOCs, about half of them are rush jobs added to fill a necessary objective I set for myself. Fortunately, many of them also include tests of new techniques such as my feeble bendy wall, which I will now hide behind to escape your wrath. ( ; Thanks for the mixed praise, all the same - I did need a pep talk. My next MOC won't be posted until I am satisfied that it is beautiful, so fear not!
