A traveler stumbles upon a ruined and forgotten stronghold.
About this creation
Hello and welcome to my latest creation.

My entry to the 2013-14 MELO!

I made this modeling one of Gollum's riddles.

The thing all things devours; birds, beasts, trees, flowers; gnaws iron, bites steel; grinds hard stones to meal; slays king, ruins town, and beats high mountain down!
(Answer: Time)

The italicized line is the line I chose.

Slays king, ruins town.

I really enjoyed making this MOC and I'm proud of the result.

And, I just felt that some official LOTR music was necessary.

A traveler stumbles upon a ruined and forgotten town stronghold.

The broken doors.

Some overgrown foliage.

A tree. I like this part.

The flag pole.

The top part of the outer wall. Note the cheese design in there. I also like this part.

The fountain! Dried up, of course.

Another tree, this one grown inside the town and with a small pottish thing.

The guards lay dusty and forgotten.

This little house is no more than crumbling wood and a straw roof.

This house is a bit bleah.

The slayed king. Sill in his chariot. And his whip.

Brick-built horse bones! Really proud of these! :D

This tree again.

The top again.

The wall! Note the big ruined hole there.

And the things I'm really proud of in this MOC. The chariot.

The fountain. While simple, t has some pretty cool techniques. I like the techniquish joint connected to form the base.

This tree. Again.

And my pride and joy - THE SCROLL! Love this dinky little three piece thing. I think I made this up, but not sure. If I did not, please correct me. Anyway, if I did, everybody can use the design, as long as credit is given.

And a Bio WIP! :D

Hope you liked it. Good luck, everybody participating. God bless.

I'm quite impressed by this. First off, good job interpreting a riddle. Second, loving dat cheese slope design in the tower. The trees look good, and the horse bones are perfect, IMO. The king seems a bit derpy, what with the crown still being on him. I personally would have thought that it would have been looted. :P Nitpicks aside, this is a really impressive MOC! :D

Nice build! I am creating a scene from the final riddle as well, but the ruins towns line is giving me difficulties. This is a nice interpretation of the riddle! P.S. love the scroll!

Nice design. I like the various wall details. I have an idea for a more literal approach on this category, but due to time constraints I probably won't make it.

Fantastic work, and speedy, too. Of course, that scroll is awesome, and the rest is too! Stellar presentation as well. I also have a grand plan . . .
