The Weasel
The Weasel Gunship/Dropship, for treaded robots.

From left to right: Pilot, Technician.

Although the Avenger Gunship was one of the C Quadrant Defenders most prized attack vehicles, there were a few issues with deployment of robots into the field. Due to the size of the ships, they couldn't fit into tight spots, they were such big easy targets for enemy's, and they lacked ramps for deploying tracked robots like the V and W series. Even though the tracked robots were outdated, there still was a use and need for them on the battlefield. In order to make up for this discrepancy, a specialized drop ship was designed to carefully place these robots down, and give them some serious firepower too. The ships to fill this purpose, deemed “Weasels” were outfitted with a pair of high output turrets, like those used on Avengers. Other than the large engines and guns, the rest of the ship consists of a big hold. Enjoy, its my first MOC in a few months, and the new picture system is a bit confusing...

Enlarged Version

The simplistic cockpit incorperates that lever thing I like using so much...

Enlarged Version

The front of the ship, simple...

Enlarged Version

This has probably one of the biggest engines I have ever made. I love those old engine bells...

Enlarged Version

The back hatch of the ship is also a ramp. Fyi, the biped robots can fit inside too.

Enlarged Version

Its greeblicious! I even made a greeble pit for all you greeble hunters..

Enlarged Version

Gotta love those RADAR anntennas! I liked adding that yellow stripe.

Enlarged Version

The engine agian. That yellow hose supplies power to the turret. The turret is special... you will see.

Enlarged Version

When the landing gear pivots, the turret does too. A bit wierd, but it was the only way they wouldn't interfear with each other.

Enlarged Version

Here is the deployment sequence: The ship lands, and the hatch is lowered.

Enlarged Version

Next the robot activates, and moves out. That yellow thing is to hold bipeds in-place, and for the tred units to rest on.

Enlarged Version

Now the technician chases after the robot with the anntenna.

Enlarged Version

Finally, the robot gets its appendage back, as the techy gets the robot's equipment.

I hope you like it! Unfortunatly, Im having issues with adding pictures on the new system. If you dont review the ship, atleast review my layout, because I was trying to duplicate the old system that used brickshelf.

I love this, I just love it. It's an original design, and I like the grate made to look like teeth (or is that just a coincidence?). I'm going to use HTML to post my pictures now, but my photo-sharing website is Flickr. The Imperial Shhyphastian Confederacy (The ISC) would like to become your ally.

I like this as it reminds me of the old '90s sets. Mmm… nostalgia. The landing gear/weapon things are nifty as well.

Very good! Only, the pic when the Technician chases the robot, links to a crossbow.

Pretty good, but a little boxy. And change the minifigs' bodies to a more spacy theme. And consider the FTO enemies of the C-Quadrant Defenders (although, this does not mean that you should rate our stuff low, nor will we rate your stuff low!) due to your declaration of war against our allies, the LIU (FTO order 15560)

YEah, joining universes would be good-like I don't want to make creations of eachother's universes, but perhaps entwine the stories togther. I wouldn't mind being a bit well known-though not like Eastern Block or 3Vil or something, but it would still be cool. If you have any ideas, email me at kavinatorpwns@aim.com. Thanks. I'll email you if I have any ideas as well. Later.
