My 2013 MOCs
A collage of my 2013 MOCs, in no particular order.
About this creation
My LEGO (virtual) builds for the year 2013. It turned out to be a mish-mash of a number of different themes and scales, but I ended up focusing primarily on 4-wide (1:75 scale) vehicles and various nautical subjects. The Andrea Gail is represented three times -- once at minifig scale, once at about 1:125 scale in the mini fishing village, and once at extreme micro-scale for a 4x4 contest entry.

Happy New Years to everyone!

Quoting Corellian Engineering I really enjoyed the Coast Guard themed stuff that you did the most. Maybe a continuation in that relm could be an Ice Breaker or an Ocean going boey tender.
Thanks. I definitely have more Coast Guard builds planned, and, while I have a few others ahead of it on my list, I'd like to do the USCGC Mackinaw, which is an icebreaker/buoy tender.

Quoting matt rowntRee Impressive year Matt! Love the different themes that you dabbled in, shows a real range of talent and skill. Looking forward to what's next. Congrats!
Thanks, matt! I'm not sure when I'll get around to it, but one of the projects I have planned is another movie-based Miniland-scale vehicle that I think you, in particular, might appreciate.

Thanks, everyone! I am pretty happy with my collection of MOCs for this year. It's hard to choose a personal favorite, but if I absolutely had to, I think it would be the Coast Guard cutter -- it came out pretty much as well as I could have hoped. I already have some pretty ambitious MOCs planned for 2014. One of which I expect will come in at around 12,000 pieces and another that is likely to exceed 30,000 pieces by the time it is finished. I'm working on a rather small one right now, but it is still giving me fits. Hopefully, it will be done soon, so stay tuned...

Quoting Alex Rode What a fantastic year you have had; may you have many more! Btw, what program did you use to get your pictures like that?
Thanks, Alex. The program I used was just Visio from MS Office, not because it is the best tool for the job, but because I am comfortable with it. All of the image resizing and positioning was done manually, although Visio does provide some cues to help with those tasks.
