1 or 40 years ago ?
One year ago I opened a box full of Lego bricks from my childhood.
About this creation
.
After some 40 years, this is my vintage MOC with only those bricks.
Maybe I yearn for the old days with some of the more “mature” AFOLs, and cause some smiles to the TFOLs !

Look at the red car!

A gear wheel as a beach-umbrella?

Strange to build with only few basic colors

but plenty of fences

and these small flat trees

a lot of roof tiles

no flowers, no grass

and that tyre

no minifigs

some round bricks!

I feel like a child: my achievements in the last 6 months!

starting from 4 or 5 sets like this one !

Happy New Year to all of you, with a ton of new bricks !

That magical moment when you open up a box and find a bunch of Lego goodies inside it...

Interesting set! I've got that motor in black, also from a train, I believe, and those red toothed gears. But those old pieces, they still stick better than a lot of the new ones.

Great to see these old bricks Again. Everything seems to be in quite good condition. My Brother and I got the 112 4,5Volt Lokomotive for Christmas in 1966, the only thing left from this, is the grey frameplate for the motor.

Quoting Nick Barrett There's always time to play in the classic style! Topsy has it right; you and Lego have come a long way :-)

Quoting El Barto ! Nice classic collection! I got started in the mid 70's with the blue Eagle Lander set. That car looks to be in great shape, as are the rest of the pieces, from what I can see. Never seen gears like those, though. What vintage?
Thanks a lot! Yes,their colours are a bit dull and ABS, in most cases, still produces enough friction. You are at least 5 years too young to know this set from 1970 http://www.peeron.com/inv/sets/800-1
