MELO Round 1: Category: Riddles in the Dark. I chose: "It cannot be seen, cannot be felt, cannot be heard, cannot be smelt. It lies behind stars and under hills, and empty holes it fills. It comes first and follows after, ends life, kills laughter." (Answer: Dark)
About this creation
2013/14 MELO.

Hey everyone,

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all!

Well, at first I wasn't going to enter the MELO, but about a week ago after reading "A Journey in the Dark," one of the chapters in "The Fellowship of the Ring," I came up with this idea for one of Gollum's riddles, "Dark." Like most of my LotR MOCs, this creation is a mixture of the film and the book. I hope you enjoy it and any feedback is much appreciated.

I present, "A Journey in the Dark!"

"Dark" picture.

Thanks for viewing everyone and thanks to Ian and the other judges for putting on this great contest!

God Bless,

~Mark

Instantly recogniseable scene, a great idea for the category! The huge pillars, hidden goblins and gollum all give a suitable impression of impending doom...

I like the columns and the orcs hiding. Also golum behind the post is nice.

Sadly I have the same thoughts about this as I did Jacob's build - too simple and too plain. Still a good idea though.
