One of the most important assets for a Classic Space deep space outpost is a reliable communications array. Having the ability to move your com-dish over that nearby crater wall assures your Lego explorers will be able to call home base whenever they need to. Enter the Long Range Communications Transport! I used white and dark bluish grey with medium blue (I call it powder blue) as the accent color. Thanks for checking out my creation!

3-part rovers always look good, and this is no exception. That mid section rotating chair grabs me. In pastel blue this just works. 9 I like the two rovers as alternatives, some neat touches and built with skill. 7 The 3-part design opens up plenty of play options, and that detachable dish is brilliant. 8 This is future proof CS building. The spirit in a pale blue nutshell. 10

I love the multiple articulations of this vehicle. Combined with the chunky tyres, it looks as though it could travel anywhere. I'm not sure that the driver looks too comfortable for long journeys but it's a new shape of cockpit alright! I like the parts usage on the main radar and the arm of the smaller antenna too. The stripes along the length of the whole MOC look great. 9 "The Buggy" looks super-fun to zoom across floors. Those big, heavy wheels should help to stop it from toppling over too. The first alternative is probably the least successful of the three builds, partly because of the high standard of the other two. As the main build is a vehicle it would have been great to have seen a base or shuttle craft to add more variety. 6 Lots of fun to had, driving around the lunar surface. I like the seat by the small radar and the way that the tow bar make a stabiliser leg for the trailer. Nice to see some tools for mending things too. I'm a bit worried at how strong some of the connections are. The one between the front and back of the tractor looks as though it would come unclipped during play and the same applies to the arm of the small radar. Perhaps instead of two radars the trailer could have had something else on it, like a rocket? I realise that you were up against the parts limit on this one. 7 The wheels, trailers and especially the seat on the smaller radar turret all give a high CS factor. Extras like the big spanner (what did it fit onto?) and the radio (didn't they have them built into their spacesuits and how did the sound get from their mouths to the microphones?) help too. 7 Total 29

The best theme... classic communications. And that dish is the best, as is the accent color! :)

Extremely attractive use of medium blue, and that's one of the best radar dish thingies I've ever seen. Excellent entry!

Quoting Pico van Grootveld Nice build and presentation, the lightblue works refreshing. The buggy alt looks cool too, GL!
Thanks Pico! I was gonna build a mining rig, but you beat me too it. Yours is really good too, so I'm glad I decided to do something different!

Quoting Alex Sonny Nice! A very modern and detailed model, I realy like the way you used the body of the tricycle on the front.
Thanks! I haven't built Classic Space since it was just called "Space Legos" back in about 1982!
