"Every year, the Tourney administrations set up a sort of an obstacle course on the Tourney grounds filled with dangerous traps. Its challenge is increased by a ban on all weapons inside the labyrinth. This year the course is set inside the catacombs beneath the city of Carthal, and it is your task to show your wrestler braving the mechanisms within to prove his or her strength before going against a live opponent later in the Tourney."
Dzargon knew he was at the end of his task. the air was fresher and smelled like grass to his sensitive nose. He quickened his pace but stayed watchful all the same as he walked by the stone wall: he was cut, bruised and dirty from dodging swinging axes, falling boulders, crumbling paths and every other trap these accursed catacombs contained. But he was almost out.
He rounded the corner...
...and saw, at last, the final challenge.
Dzargon laughed with relief. For most men this would be a challenge. But Halidran were faster and stronger than most men, and Dzargon was faster and stronger than most Halidran. It was a climbing challenge. He had to scale the rock wall in order to make it. He walked leisurely towards his final step, and that's when he felt it.
It was an odd kind of feeling, a light-headedness that took him by surprise. And the smell of grass grew stronger. Dzargon suddenly realized why he could smell it at the bottom of this very deep hole. It wasn't grass at all; it was a type of gas known to the Halidran as noshk. It smelled like freshly sliced grass, and it would kill him in minutes if he didn't get moving.
Dzargon leaped up the rock surface without hesitation and got a firm grip. He began to swiftly scale the wall, and was still quite sure he'd make it...
Then he looked up, seeing the patch of sky far above him, and his vision swam. He must hurry.
He had less than halfway to go and was twisting, trying to grab a tricky handhold, when a wave of dizziness washed over him. Almost losing his grip, the hard rock swimming before him, Dzargon just barely managed to get to the next, easier handhold. His vision was blurring, darkening. His hands and feet were numb. he was going to die here...it was too late...
And yet, mechanically, almost unconsciously, he kept going. Willpower alone forced his muscles, yet even that was beginning to crumble.
And then, just as his arms began to weaken, his hand felt grass and soil instead of hard rock. Eyes closed, breathing ragged, Dzargon dug his fingers deep into the ground and stayed there, halfway out of the pit, until his breathing returned to normal in the fresh air.
Then he dragged himself out, whereupon the Tourney official congratulated him on surviving, stating no one else had that route. Dzargon drew in a deep breath and exhaled loudly. He'd made it.
Dzargon's predicament was modeled after mine: I had a whole two days. I knew I could do it. It was easy. And then the time seemed to to take off, and before I knew it, it was almost too late. That's why there are no details on the top; I had no time to add them. :P
Thanks Armon. It wasn't because my mocs don't have as many likes that I said his was overrated, it was because people were incessantly liking his intro, even the big-timers, when rarely did they pay attention to the mocs that really deserve 40+ (Gilbert's come to mind). (And I'd like to point out that all of yours have over 20 and some over 30. :P) However, I do see your point and am sorry mine came out so rudely, though Rey's responses and retaliation did nothing to soften my views. Nevertheless, I appreciate the diplomacy and the way you worded your comment, and will make more of an effort to abide by "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it". Once again, thanks for the comment, the consideration and the like. :)
Well, Kai, just because your MOCs don't have that many likes doesn't mean everyone else's is overrated. :P Ok, sometimes they are, but still, I don't get as many likes as I'd 'like,' and I try not to complain. >.> However, you ARE a good builder and do deserve more likes on your MOCs. But really, it's just not all that nice to go over to someone else's MOC and give a flat-out mean comment saying it's overrated. : People get likes depending on how popular they are, and bashing others' 'overrated' MOCs isn't going to help your popularity too much. Just saying. And this really is one of your best. Great work.

Kind of overrated in my opinion.
Haha, okay; we can play that game. :P But I would like to point out that the one I said was overrated has nearly twice the likes and is more than three times as small, in addition to detailing factors. I notice you haven't said that about any of the others', whose mocs are just this size or larger and have many more likes. :P

I really hope this is allowed, because this is definitely your best moc yet! The rockwork is absolutely stunning, and the stone wall texturing is also fantastic. Well done and good luck!
Now, coming from you, that...that is VERY high praise! Thanks!
