Nemesis Prime - Reborn
You can't have Good without ....Evil! Here's Optimus Prime's evil clone using my new ball and cup Prime design!
About this creation
I feel so cheap and dirty - just like Hasbro doing repaints but with my new Optimus Prime design its time to upgrade his brothers. First off its ... G1 Nemesis Prime! Takara has released various repaints depicting G1 Nemesis Prime but there really wasn't such a character in the original G1 Cartoon. However in one episode Megatron did clone Optimus and made an evil twin to mess up the Autobots - he was exactly the same colour scheme as Optimus Just Evil!

This model is 99% the same design as the my new Optimus for 2014 with a few minor aesthetic tweaks! See if you can find them! He is a very poseable and sturdy creation. You know Ultra Magnus's upgrade is not too far behind!

thanks!
Quoting M<0><0>DSWIM ! I know what you mean about taking the same design and just changing the colors, but, this guy looks so evil and that color scheme! Nice work, as usual.

just gotta find some good easy to use animation software and time!
Quoting Chris Phipson Yeap, the upgrade is much better. Lookin' forward to seeing what you have in store for us in the near future! Stop motion? Man I'd love to see the opening title sequence done in Lego... Might be a fun first stop motion project. ~ Chris.

a good upgrade!
Quoting Raymond Drum The color scheme does make him dark and formidable. Great job! It was nice seeing OP and him side by side and it's amazing just how poseable the ball and socket joints are, although they're not as sturdy as the ratchet joints. That last picture though I like the best. The differences over 4 years are dramatic. Not saying the 2010 version is bad but, the newer one really shows how you've gotten even than you were before.

thanks!
Quoting Stuart Lucas You definitely wouldn't want to meet this guy on a dark night! The re-colour makes him suitably intimidating and the build is just as good as before. I don't think I'd spotted how cleverly you'd included the waist detailing on the first one, really good stuff.

even if they did I think I'd still leave them grey for contrast, too bad about the contest, its going to be a blast!
Quoting sam the first that's one good looking legoformer. shame they don't do those wheels in black... p.s. thanks for the invitation (to you contest) but i have no where near enough hinges at home, so i'm afraid i won't be able to do it. sorry!

Quoting Scott Bourgeois He's evil, he's a Prime, what more do you need? ;) Excellent build once more. Now, to give him the Matrix of Leadership and displace/dispose of Megatron/Galvatron. Muuaaahahahaahaaaa!

you might be right my childhood memories are getting blurred with age! LOL
Quoting Zach Lucia Excellent! I love the color scheme, and am a Decepticon fan at heart, so I love him! But the evil Prime was a mindless robot, and Megatron controlled him through a remote headset (Sorry, I'm a bit of a perfectionist.). ~Zach

the evil twin is sometimes a cool twist for stories, depending on how they exploit it, imagine how cheap it could have been if they d said that they can switch color at will, and re-release them all in 10+ colors! xd, nicely done Chris!
