About this creation
Mr. Cab vs. Elven Ranger

Wrestling: TV Style

Silly costumes, cheesy vendettas, smashing chairs and who-knows-what else... Since this bracket is called "wrestling," deal with your opponent in the ring as a showman and not necessarily a gentleman.

The Tourney 2014
my opponent: Mr.Cab and his entry

“People of Carthal! Welcome to round two of the tourney! Today The Hunter will wrestle with Bob Smith. This is the first time ‘the Hunter’ has revealed his face in public. I can tell you he wasn’t happy with it. Hahaha. Let the combatants come forth!” said the dwarf to the audience of peasants and knights alike, along with some odd people in red speedos!

I was not happy with revealing myself in public, but I couldn’t resist having a fight with an idiot like Bob! That was before I had seen the costume I had to wear. Still, there are uglier things than cyclops's, who am I to complain.

We climbed out from between the pillars.
Bob fell.
I laughed.
This was going to be interesting.

We went over to the wall to retrieve our masks. They were so wide that we couldn’t go back through the pillars wearing them!

“Let the fight begin” said the dwarf

The dwarf hurried behind the stone pillars in case the fight got out of hand.
“now, I want a good clean fight. You cannot cross the wooden beams on the floor. That is against the rules. FIGHT!”

I charged and we fought. We were evenly matched, or so it seemed, he was strong and fast and was beginning to gain the upper hand. He punched me in the face with enough force to knock me back. Revenge was swift and terrible.

With inhuman strength, I grabbed him by the foot and threw him over my head.

He smashed into and broke the stand for our masks. The dwarf sighed and hid behind a pillar. The audience cheered and applauded.

I ran over to the wooden beams and pulled one from the floor.

With my new weapon I ran at Bob Smith.

He cowered against the wall.

Using my plank as a club, I smashed him into a collection of shields on the wall.

He pulled a couple of the wall and landed in a heap. He jumped up again, and hurled a shield at me.

Using my plank, I smashed the shield back at him…

…hitting him in the face and knocking him back into the wall

Then I started to enjoy myself. I threw him across the room,

Where he broke the wooden planks and also broke the rules

Then I threw him with all my might at the pillars.

He smashed through and landed on the stripy floor behind with a crunch.

“well, I think that concludes the fight” said the dwarf to the audience. “The hunter has won”

“unfortunately Bob is under medical supervision, but still congratulations on a fine victory Hunter!”

The crowd cheered and I bowed

Suddenly the wizard came up to me and spoke.
“a human could not have done so much damage, or have the strength to throw someone through those pillars. You are using a concealing spell!”

His staff flashed and the audience was silent. I was kind of annoyed. Now my secret was out and my face known to all.

Photos of the build:

I used minifigure hands here, I think this is my own technique but im not sure

SNOT floor, 2x4 bricks on their sides

The angled floor and the ‘uncross able’ wooden barrier

The falcon shields use decals from Eurobrick forums.

Definitely one of the harder entries for me to decide, but your opponents level of detailing won me over in the end. I'm sorry, but he gets my vote. Better luck next year!

Quoting David FNJ I really enjoyed your scene, especially the pillars and the hand technique. The flooring and action were also great! However, your opponent's clever ring, albeit small, as well as his various buildings with neat textures won him my vote. Good luck with the other judges!
somehow im not surprised, i kind of rushed this and Mr Cabs was great

Quoting Stephen Boe The concealing spell sounds like it's from The Hobbit. :O

Very good. I like the smoothness, and the story is also great. Keep it up! The minifigure hands for hooks is a great idea, I haven't seen it anywhere else. Perhaps the lighting could be a little better, but I see no flaws with this.
