Robotech Masters Red Bioroid, as flown by Zor Prime’s clone against the armies of the Southern Cross. (Hope I’ve got my Robotech history right; feel free to correct any errors I’ve made ;) The original inspiration was to built both the bioroid and it’s hoversled which it flies into battle with. Hmm, an anti-grav sled able to carry huge mecha – those Robotech Masters sure were smart cookies!

My first bipedal mech. I built the bioroid and started on the hoversled but soon ran out of parts (and money!) Must admit it lost some of it’s appeal without the sled, you may notice some areas of the figure appear unfinished as I lost interest. Still, it was a great learning experience. I’m getting better at SNOT and some of the bioroid I’m quite happy with, such as the toes. The head I settled on is the third design I tried. Originally it had that no-neck look that they seem to have in the cartoon but I preferred to have the head free to swivel.

(Skip thru to about the 8 minute mark to where the fighting begins. You know anime: 90% dialogue, 10% unbelievable action!)

Cheese it!

Main body segments.

Ryo will do as a stand in for Zor Prime and his purple mullet: "now to find that perky miss Dana Sterling..."

"Where is the protoculture puny micronian?!"

Gone with the wind pose.

wow, this is really good. i love the arms ad legs, and even thogh the body is a little square shaped, the whole thing desrves 5/5 for the overall appearance. try building mechs with more color to them, monochrome gets boring fairly fast.
