Today i was testing my smoke alarms. Because of that i had the idea to create a smoke alarm in minifig size. In real life i use wireless connected Merten Argus smoke alarms. So i created one in minifig size. Needed only two pieces. The 1x1 round tile for the smoke alarm a 1x1 flat tile for the packaging and some selfmade stickers. So this is my smoke alarm awareness day ;) Keep it in mind: Smoke alarms save lifes
About this creation
Thats my sigfig showing you the smoke alarm. ;)

The original, the Lego version + the packaging :)

Size comparison.

Some Tips including a pic where are the best places to mount a smoke alarm.

Every Home Should Have at Least One Working Smoke Alarm

Buy a smoke alarm at any hardware or discount store. It's inexpensive protection for you and your family. Install a smoke alarm on every level of your home. A working smoke alarm can double your chances of survival. Test it monthly, keep it free of dust and replace the battery at least once a year. Smoke alarms themselves should be replaced after ten years of service, or as recommended by the manufacturer.

Quoting James Kontoules Nice job Sven! Good to see the LFC putting out useful info instead of bickering like that which has been going on these days. Loving the Haz-Mat too, even if it is a Ferrara (;
Thank you very much James. It means a lot to me :) Yeah, this is right. Hope that it's never needed again in the future. Lol, a Pierce would be nicer in my eyes. ;)

Quoting Jimmie Martinez Another excellent job very well done. As a former firefighter I applaud your message about smoke detector awareness. if every citizen was as helpful and aware as you our jobs would be so much simpler. Keep up the good work. Do you know of anyone who has built a model of a pre- 9/11 HME rescue. These to me are some of the meanest looking Rigs ever in the FDNY arsenal.
Thank you so much for your nice comment my friend. I really appreciate your compliments. But sadly i don't no one who built a HME FDNY Rescue with Lego. I know only the 1:64 scale HME Rescue from code3 collectibles. But this is no Lego. Sorry that i can't help you out with this.

Thank you really much my friend. Yeah, noticed the new Nest Smoke alarm some months ago. But sadly it's not available at the moment in Germany. But i read that they plan a launch in Europe soon. Hope they do it. I would use them for replacing my older ones. Love how the Nest Smoke alarms work.
