About this creation
My entry to the January UC for The Lands of Mythron. Although this build is not nearly as polished as I would like it to be considering I built this in three days during my exam week, I'll say it turned out fairly good. At first this was just sort of a build to help me relax during exams, and I thought I might have a shot at placing in the UC. Unfortunately I really rushed through it, and also probably gave it more attention then I should have, with less focus then I would have liked.

One more thing is that I am still having difficulty with my uploader, as the computer is forcing me to use the old one (I still don't know why). As a result these pictures are low quality, since last time I tried to upload high quality ones my uploader wouldn't work. The trick will be finding that sweet spot, which seeing the deadline for the UC is today means for now I'll just have to upload decent pictures. If anyone has similar problems and a potential solution, please let me know.

Anyway if you read all that thank you for listening to me ramble on, I promise I wont do it much more in the future. So without further ado, here is the Golden Goblet Tavern.

The following is my first attempt at a sort of 'play by play story' that has a picture or two for each main event. Sorry again for the poor photos, and if you've got any tips on making these sorts of things please comment. :)

Approaching the Golden Goblet Tavern Gordon could feel the harsh winter's wind blowing through his thin layer of armour. Since arriving in Mythron he had experienced a bleak and lonely month, the season had seemingly placed everyone in an extremely foul mood. All Gordon longed for now was a warm fire and kind people, something he had heard this tavern was good for. Freezing hands trembling in the cold he slowly knocked on the door, ignoring the large and lazy dog to his right.

Inside he was greeted by a warm rush of air, and to his delight only three people on the main floor. Gordon had never really liked crowds, so it appeased him to be in the company of so few. What he did not now was that directly above him was one many called a trouble maker, who would soon prove his titles accuracy.

-Side note: The small balcony is loose on purpose to be easily removed, thus helping with pictures.

Gordon approached the keeper of the tavern, an odd sort of character with an eye patch and a mangled grey beard. However before he could say a word there was yet another nock on the door.

Barging through the door as if the place belonged to him, a suspicious figure entered the tavern. There was a look on his face indicating that he was here to see something accomplished, whether one was to agree with it or not. The man immediately went flying up the stairs, knowing that there was where his target would be. The pursued hearing the loud foot steps turned to face his opponent, although he already knew full well who was after him and the reason for it. In these bitter months he had let the elements get the better of him and he had made far too many enemies, enemies that he knew eventually would catch up to him.

This particular foe had had enough, and simply could not take this nonsense anymore. The gnome made the first move lunging at the hooded man, however it was nearly the last thing he ever did. Using his own reckless force against him the man steered him around, and threw him out the top window.

Now although Gordon never wanted to get involved, he had no choice now. After all even if the gnome was always up to no good, he was still a Mythronian. Gordon burst out the door, swiftly followed by a Crimson Knight also longing for justice. The gnome had almost out run his enraged pursuer when he suddenly slipped on a patch of dry ice. The hooded man could not take it any longer, the cold had driven him insane, and this gnome just added to his displeasure. Raising his knife he prepared to do slaughter the poor figure lying on the ground begging for mercy.

Luckily for him however, he was not alone, the Crimson Knight sprinted at the murderer, tackling him to the ground, and eventually prying the knife from his hand.

The hooded man now realising he was outnumbered took all of the energy he had left and ran as fast as he could away from the trio. What the elements (or perhaps the gnome) had done to this man to bring him to this point still no one knew, although at that moment they all understood one thing. Tensions were rising.

That's all for now, thank you for reading the story if you got through all that. Please don't take offense if you are an 'Average Gnome', I meant it all in good fun. All of you guys are extraordinary builders.

Thank you for viewing, and have a great day! :)

Quoting Anthony Wilson Great job on the MOC man, really looking forward to what you`ll come up with in the JLO. You`ll probably beat me but good luck anyway. I`ve come up with something pretty wacky myself.
Thank you Anthony. I am also looking forward to going against you. To be honest the build that I've got isn't too great, as I didn't have all that much time to work on it. Good luck to you as well!

Quoting cyberfrank 2010 your problem must be the java update, I had the same, check the moc pages s help to solve it, I like most of the house, rock, and kind of like the snow-ice too, not much people do that, and it s recognizable, I love the dog, it livens the piece a bit, cool scene!
Thank very you for the feed back and a possible solution to my problem. I really appreciate it! :)

Quoting Alex Rode Btw, I am taking massive amounts of inspiration here on texture.
Awesome! :) I hope to see some of it in your upcoming Tourney entry.

Quoting Thomas of Tortuga Very nice job! Judging by the amount of last-minute entries, you aren't the only one who built theirs in three days :) I like how you played both sides of the epic CK/AG rivalry in your story. The texturing on the first floor is topnotch, the rockwork is better than average, and the story is well-written and pleasing to read. In my opinion, the roof looks a little unfinished and studdy, and the ice is unconvincing. Overall, though, if you stay active in LOM after the Tourney, you'll definitely be a force to be reckoned with in UCs to come.
Thank you very much for all of the feed back Thomas. I totally agree with you about the roof and the ice, both are still bothering me.
