JLO R1: Moria
My entry for the 2014 Junior Lego Olympics! Cooked up most of this bad boy last night and then finished the doorways a couple of hours ago. Enjoy!
About this creation

Thanks to my little brother for letting me use his Frodo and Sam!

Gandalf: "Pity? It was pity that stayed Bilbo's hand! Many that live deserve death. Some that die deserve life..." (Lalalaa can'trememberwhathesaysthere!) :P
Frodo: "I wish the Ring had never come to me. I wish none of this had happened."
Gandalf: "So do all who live to see such times but that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us."

Boromir! He's one of the main reasons I built this. I just wanted to put him in there! I had just got The Mines of Moria on Wednesday (Love ebay!) and it has so many good pieces!! But, deep down, I think I only got Moria for Boromir. :P

A lot of fun rock work! Used all my good slopes!

I'm not overly fond of the stairs. I just couldn't get them to work so I gave up on it.

Some stairs leading to nowhere (Nowhere in the build meaning. Who knows where it lead to in the book!). But they're cool right?

One of my favorite parts! I'll show you how I did it.

Now it looks like it goes farther than it really goes! Hahaha!

Gandalf: "Oh! That's the way!"

Thanks for looking! Please rate and comment! Advice and criticism are welcome!

Soli Deo Gloria!

Quoting Kai Bernstein Nice! The layout is really good. A little more layering on the ground would break up the monotony of studs, and cheese slopes, round 1x1 plates or tiles covering up the stud sockets on the rockwork is preferred, but the build is still a good one. :P
Thanks for advice Kai! :D

Quoting Topher Adams Looks great. The lack of stairs isn't much problem either. You did a great job recreating this scene. The way you built up the passages through the doors was very well done. The rock formations (usually one the hardest parts) was well done as well. I also like how you position Aragorn's leg as he sits. It's only a little tidbit of detail, but it's a good tidbit none the less.
Thanks! Rocks are my favorite thing to build. In most of my creations, I try to stick some in there. :P

Nice build! I really like the rock here. Yeah, the Mines of Moria is the second to best LOTR set. (Best being Helm's Deep.) Good luck in JLO! And may the best builder win!
