An Aquazone model I decided to make after seeing a few across mocpages. Again I went with the all-over-the-place style of build, but at least it's mostly yellow :D
About this creation
This repair mech was created with the intention of easier vessel recovery from the bottom of oceans and seas. This one features a welding machine, but they usually work in groups of four or so, each one has a different task (I'm making this up, I might make the versions one day). The mech itself actually consists of the leg part, onto which a small sub is attached. The sub carries a welding machine and a claw, but it needs the legs for better stability - they act as anchors, and can also aid in movement with the motors on the top. It also looks badass.

The upper part of the mech, including the extra propulsion and leg attachments. And that's pretty much it.

The three propellers, the smaller one is the sub's, the big two can reverse as well to help lift heavy objects (so it doesn't topple over in the water).

"in action". It can rab something and weld it together.

My original Aquazone minifig, my only one too.

The sub detached. It does this for easier tasks, such as grabbing and welding smaller objects. Like, steel buckets and stuff.

angles!

What is this? Metal on the seafloor? Unacceptable! Where are my legs?

Here. Okay, let's break this down and dispose of it. Remember kids, recycle!

Wow, Aqua Zone.. this takes me way back! I dig the concept and the functionality of this build, it's something I highly enjoy doing myself (that is, focusing on funtionality over aesthetics). Cool build, man.

Nice! :) It's not often you see AquaZone themed mocs, especially well executed builds like this.

Quoting David Roberts Great to see a mech that is neither grey nor covered in weapons. I like the use of those yellow tipper bucket ends for the toes of its feet. The detachable sub was a fun surprise too!
Thanks! I tried to make it different.

Quoting Sebeus I Are the legs extendable?
Well of course, but I couldn't really fit the whole giant thing into my little studio :D Plus, it looked kinda weird, as the black bars are really thin.

Nicely done, I like the detachable submarine. With limited aquazone parts you managed very well to build a fitting theme moc. Are the legs extendable?

Quoting Nick Barrett This would have made an awesome addition to the Aquazone fleet - this theme deserves more exposure.
I feel an urge to build yellow submarines, and I still have one more CS build to post...

Quoting Aidan Bryant Very nice, love seeing some none military mechs for a change. They certainly are less common, but yours is great.
Thanks, and I deliberately strayed from my previous military builds, because I found new interest in Classic Space and their peaceful ways
Quoting Commander Cold This is the best Aquazone Mech (If not the only one!) Anywhere! Although I was mostly into Space when it came out, I found Aquazone very intersting, my favorite subtheme being the Aquasharks.
I know some people who fell into their dark ages right after aquazone and aquasharks, and they left behind incredible ammounts of legos from then. I'm really tempted to visit and just take the boxes from their attic :D

Love the detatchable sub. Major coolness here. I like the idea of something walking underwater, it just seems wrong but in a brilliant way makes sense and works. Awesome job.

Quoting Tim C It also has a very industrial, utilitarian look that I think would be necessary to get the point across with any kind of success. Nice job!
Thanks! And I'm glad you registered the "made for use" look, I tried to make it look like a real salvage vehicle, like it has been used a lot, hence the tubes and chains on different parts.

Quoting cyberfrank 2010 aw, you beat me to it...I bought several aquanaut kits to make something similar, a combo sub-mech for salvage...
Thanks, and I am looking forward to your models. Besides, Aquazone and Aquanauts are different in certain aspects, but I really hope it's big and yellow!
Quoting Stephan N I love the feet nice idea
Thanks, I was looking for a good use for those old bucket parts.
Quoting clayton Marchetti That really cool! I love those pinchers from those sets. I really like how the command module doubles as a sub. Excellent design!
Thanks a lot! The pincher parts are really neat, especially when the connectors come in trans orange.

Really great work, Alex. It makes me think of something Ed Harris and Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio may have employed in The Abyss. I love how the little minisub detaches from the legs for further exploration in those hard to reach places. It also has a very industrial, utilitarian look that I think would be necessary to get the point across with any kind of success. Nice job!

aw, you beat me to it...I bought several aquanaut kits to make something similar, a combo sub-mech for salvage, nicely done, it shocks me how many of the concepts are the same as I figured, you even share the same view that it s shameful to have waste in the bottom of the oceans, well done Alex!
