A long-range artillery support mecha.
About this creation

The Kamel Vertical Tank was developed as a long-range support platform with close-range suppression ability. Federal forces wanted to be able to move long-range artillery support to wherever the battlefront was, but without having to deploy assets to protect it. Although designed for a crew of two, the Kamel is easily operated by a single pilot.

The main feature of the Kamel VT is the Long-Range Heavy Autocannon. Foldable for stowage during transport, the LRHA packs a hefty punch and decent accuracy at range. For close-range defense, the Kamel has a TOW-8 missile pod and a Light Autocannon, as well as optional anti-personnel "Rocket Grenades" mounted on the legs. Two concealment smoke pods round out the standard equipment. Additionally, the Kamel has simple mobile suit manipulator arms.

Although not designed to trade close-range punches, the Kamel has effective armor and mobility to survive and retreat from enemy mobile suits, or to easily destroy troops and light vehicles, such as the advance scouts it is likely to encounter. However, Kamel pilots are notoriously paranoid about close-range combat encounters, often using the manipulator arms for more standardized mobile suit weaponry like Light Assault Rifles. Once you get past the basic kit, no two Kamels are the same.

While technically classified as a Heavy Vertical Tank by the Federal Military, all Kamel pilots have to be Mobile Suit certified, and most combat units treat it as an MS, not a tank. The use of so many MS features and parts makes the distinction murky, but no Federal soldier would make the mistake of calling a Kamel pilot a "tanker" to his face.

I rather like this design of yours. The head especially is my favorite part. As to your lack of tan parts, try mixing in some different shades of brown or add more black to give the design a contrasting look. I built a power suit a while back (currently not posted) and the color combination came out very well.

Quoting TF Twitch This is a Mobile Suit, not a tank. I do not care what anyone says. Great job bringing this into the brick. Perhaps you could show it holding some handheld weapons, like you said that pilots would do in the description. That would add a tad more flair to it.
I can probably do that.

Sweet mech, I'm really digging the color scheme! The armor is top notch, and like Gilbert said, that head is very cool. Keep it up :)

Quoting Gilbert Despathens My only complaints are that the plating in front of the waist is too simple compared to the rest of the mech and that the back isn't very detailed(snip)
Ironically, I had meant to finish out the back but completely forgot until taking pictures. I might have to add something and re-shoot, perhaps a different variant? The waist armor was built very early on in the model, and by the time I got to the "end" of the build, I'd nearly run out of tan pieces and brackets. Admittedly, I keep an absurd amount of models together, so the tan shortage is my fault...

My only complaints are that the plating in front of the waist is too simple compared to the rest of the mech and that the back isn't very detailed, but I only take the time to complain on MOCs that I like or come from builders that I like. Overall, the Kamel is great, especially the head. That single part carries quite a lot of character.
