The reason Jar Jar’s always so SPACED OUT… the Tatooine Acres’ Space Spinner!
About this creation

Now the Intro photo is Jar Jar’s IMAGINERY version of the Space Spinner which, being highly greebled, would be an illegal entry to Yuri’s 5th MOCiversary Contest in
The Even C category! It is made from over 100 pieces!

But, not to fear, the next photo is…
MY TRUE & LEGAL entry to the contest made up of exactly 100 pieces!

The Top Side Down-Legal Version

Okay, I know Tatooine probably didn't have an amusement park...
But THEY SHOULD HAVE!

The Top Side Down-Illegal Version...

The Space Spinner In Action…
For those of you not able to view the video below here, I give you the FLICKR LINK!

(FYI: Both versions' spins are almost identical, the legal version spinning a tad longer!)

lol that it does. It's just not as cool as it's ingeniously built. Maybe it just doesn't click with me... nothing personal you know :)

Quoting Yuri Fassio Alas, I fear that the effort that must have gone in designing this thing was far greater than the result. Also Jar-Jar's lost his fight for relevance in pop culture somewhere around 2010, I think. Appealing to one's hate for him would sort little effect now.
I am baffled as to how to reply to this? I was under the misconception that a top should spin? Silly me!!! :o

Quoting Timothy Dillman What say you? Do you think I should bring LLTF to Flickr or not really?
Well Tim, Technic, Belville, Fabuland, and Homemaker figs all have 1 thing in common. They each have a small following of fans. So I don’t know if the group would get more attention or not on Flickr? I probably won’t post much of anything in it there to be honest. I only post a few of my builds on Flickr. It is too time consuming for me to deal with 2 sites regularly! Now if you are thinking about disbanding the MOCpages group, I would not be offended, although it doesn’t hurt to keep it up. Hope I addressed what you asked and I'm looking forward to seeing your build for this round! :)

Quoting David Alexander Smith More to do with reading way too much Greek tragedy - glad you liked it. Wouldn't really have sold to the kids though - oh well.

Oh my... a true testement to the Power of Visual Images and... ha, ha... Vino! I do like your version, perhaps more logical? But a left-brained version from a right-brained type of guy... Or perhaps you are like me... strong in both hemispheres! :)

Controversial statement coming, Jar Jar is more fun than bad - it was the scripts that let the old prequels down. I've just shared a glass of wine (or two) with my wife so excuse the indulgence on its way. One day I'll post my alternative prequel pitch with its incest (here comes moderation) and Ancient Greek motifs. Oh what the hell, here it is. In an alternative Star Wars universe imagine Anikin falls for Amidala only to discover she is his half sister. He curses the force, whose harmonic destiny he trusted. Worse still he finds she is pregnant - he kills her to abort what he sees is the abomination of their love. The children are saved by Obi Wan. Now you have a reason for Anikin going mad, hating the force, and a brutal deed that transforms him into Vader. It also improves the original trilogy by providing a case of prolepsis. When Luke starts falling for his sister, history is repeating itself (those jokes we all make obtain meaning). Also when Vader realises that Luke and Leia are not evil abominations, but good kids, in the final light saber duel everything makes sense. Rather than seeing Luke as as a tainted figure ripe for conversion to the dark side, he finally sees him as his son, and the force's destiny as good not bad. Anyway, I pretend the prequels don't exist and tell myself this story instead - makes way more sense to me. Strange what a spinning Jar Jar can unleash. Great MOC by the way, and sorry for the high jacking. I've spent way too many hours thinking about Star Wars haven't I.

Quoting El Barto ! Wicked! Too bad it doesn't spin and then toss Jar Jar across the room. But still, cool top!!
Yes... I knew that after Chewie, Jar Jar would be the next best character choice to have take a spin! :)

Quoting Mark McPeek Haha! This is AWESOME! Great work!
Thanks... each time I build a top I get a better feel for how to distrbute the wieght to make for a longer spin time and not too much precession! :)

Quoting Nick Barrett Me-sa so dizzy... OK, I'll never do that again, promise :-) A fun build, and a great use of tank tracks.
Ha, ha... Couldn't resist it could you! Yes, I bought them during DA, they are not exactly the most multi-purpose pieces! :)

Quoting David Roberts Strange but a lot of fun. The sort of thing that I could play with all day. I like the track pentagon, which is an unusual shape to see in Lego.
Thanks David! There is a bit of flexibility in the track allowing several polygonial(is this a word?)shapes both regular an irregular when at rest. I guess it could be called a flexigon... ha, ha?! :)

Quoting clayton Marchetti Topsy ! Could you imagine taking the kids to an amusement park on a planet with 3 suns ! Holy cow all we would here is I'm thirsty all day and the vendors selling $10.00 souvenir cups with $1.00 + Jabba tax refills. And than the duck and run from the parking garage to the park as sandpeople take pot shots at us no thank you . Had enough of that in Florida :-) . Well this ride explains a lot about Jar Jar . It's really cool that it spins and he looks like he's been on it all day. Awesome entry!
Yes, I did imagine things like that, but the sound of the name was way too cool to my ears! So Tatooine Acres is was! You have a great imagination! :)

Quoting matt rowntRee SCIENCE! Anything that seemingly tortures Jar Jar is tops with me. (See what I did there?) Even with the tank treads, it still has your trademark colorful style. Well done!
Ha, ha... it was the only sound track I had at short notice that I thought would match the action! I want you to know that had I had a Chewie, I would have made this a Chewie Spinner, in your honor! But I was too excited to get it posted and didn't want to have to wait to order a Chewie from BrickLink. But, there will be another opportunity I'm sure! :)
