Quoting Kevin Yoo Very interesting concept- a smiley face with arms and legs, wookiee pilot, minigun and club, and a power generator on the aaaa... I wonder how you thought this up. The expression on his face is very entertaining.
Thank you Kevin! I learned long ago to never ask where these ideas come from, I'm afraid of the answer. ;) (I might realize someday that I'm actually certifiably bonkers. Shhh, don't tell me. Wait! Tell me what? Nothing, go back to sleep. Okay. XD)

Quoting Tim C Good thing there was only one mecha at Brickworld this year. XD All kidding aside, Matt, seeing this in person was a real treat. It was one of the most entertaining MOCs I've seen since I joined this happy little community, and it was every bit as deserving as anything else that won an award this year. Here's the deal: there was no other mech at BW that you could say was better built, and what I think becomes the outstanding factor is that you can't say that there was another mech there that reminded you of this. Well done again and congrats!
Thank you very much Tim! It still strikes me as odd but for myself, that's not very unusual. I've never really accepted praise or accolades well, this seems like a dose of ironic vindication. I think this entire community heartily loves a joker preaching irreverence. So, for them, for you, and especially for myself, I shall endeavor to accommodate. ;)

Ha! You're old! XD My, uhhh, grandpa told me about the Beverly Hillbillies, yeah, my grandpa. I wouldn't know. I'm youthful and... Alright, alright, I'm old too. And yes, I can still sing the theme song completely. =] Thank you Clever! For the compliment and reminding me of my age. -ugh- =D

Yeah, I agree. Elbows would have helped tremendously in the posing. This nutcase is a keeper, so I think I'll rework his arms a bit more for 2.0. Thank you very much Yuri, I really appreciate critical input like this. I love another pair of eyes on everything. =]

Thank you Tyler! The tire came from set 8466 4x4 Off-Roader. Here's the part http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=32298 I just turned it inside out and stuck it on another wheel. ;)

Quoting Yuri Fassio Awesome entry! The body is spectacular, though it might have needed some more work in the arms department. One of my favorite entries so far.
Thank you Yuri! For the compliment and especially the opportunity to make something like this. I agree with the arms, almost wish I had built them, as well as the legs, more sturdy. Maybe some parallel limbs to double the load. Although, I really wanted him to seem silly and disproportionate. Huge body/head, massive hands and feet, and tiny limbs.

Thank you Xeno! He's my new hero as well, if for anything, bringing a smile to my face every time I look at him. There definitely needs to be an entire division of these things running around ripping the arms off of the enemy. All with different expressions and beans for fuel. ;D

Quoting Tim C Matt. It's brilliant. I can go on about how funny it is, (and I will, I will#, but I first want to mention the genius behind it. It starts with imagination, which I have always respected of, #and perhaps developed a healthy fear of#, your works. That imagination of yours must keep you up at night sometimes. But it gave you this idea. Then you had to think about how it could be achieved. A spherical body, a humorous cartoony expression, #one of the most difficult things to achieve in the brick, I imagine#, weight restrictions to maintain posability, and of course, how to include Chewie, #an aspect of your builds that still sparks my curiosity...you will one day have to explain to me how the whole Chewie thing started#. Then, finally, the execution, which remains the most impressive part. I can picture you walking laps around this build trying to figure out how you were going to include each nuance of this idea. And is it funny? Why yes, of course it is. I didn't see all the extra features on Flickr, like the drive system, the Air Jordans, #hahaha, by the way), or Chewie as the brains of the beast. The cooler was an excellent touch. I also like how messy the interior appears, with different food items just laying around. I can't imagine that an unassisted Wookie would keep an organized cockpit. The Travolta shot and the breaking shot particularly had my head buried in my hand as I laughed. As a final note, my original impression when I first saw your psycho emoticon was that it was Pac-Man on a rampage. He really reminds me of that Saturday morning cartoon from days of old. Really nice work, Matt. An immediate classic.
Tim, you and I have a lot to talk about at Brickworld. ;) I have been trying to compose a thank you worthy of this wonderfully glowing compliment and find that words are just simply failing me. So I'll just say thank you and hope above all that it does not disappoint you. It is truly from the heart. Thank you Tim!

Quoting Jeremy McCreary A masterpiece of design wrapped in humor. The cartoon-like 4-digit, white-gloved hands are perhaps my favorite part -- highly effective and even more expressive. Built one immediately. Always suspected that Hero Factory parts (or are the arms and legs Bionicle?) were good for something. Off to BrickLink -- as if I needed another shopping category there.
Thank you Jeremy! I wanted the hands to be Mickey Mouse like. And the arms and legs are bionicle pieces that I had no idea how to use for anything else. Can't wait to see your version as I'm sure it will be loaded with detail and motors. Powa functions for the win! As with everything I built, feel free to use any ideas you see, I encourage it. ;) This guy is ripe for some wacky improvements. Have fun with it!

And here to think, all these years I've been looking for an identity, a style, a defining aspect, a person to aspire to be and he was always here hiding in plain sight. Luke, that has to be the most eloquent and complete description I would ever hope for. Regardless of the outcome of this and any competition, I find nuggets of pure wisdom like this more rewarding than anything. Thank you on so many levels!

Matt, you are a... a... a Matt. Nothing else can really describe you. Brilliant build, technically excellent and plain old hilarious. Even if our team doesn't make it, I suspect you'll move on anyway with this crazy piece of machinery.

Quoting El Barto ! Fun build here, Matt, and great job with the oral hygiene message! I really enjoyed the telephone pole with the shark in it. Wicked!
Thank you Bart! Just isn't enough oral hygiene messages here on the pages. ;) I wanted to give him a tree trunk like Tyler's Giant but I realized that those ball joints aren't strong enough; so, I settled on a mainmast with a little decking, ribbing, and a great white. Why not?

Quoting Topsy Creatori (StoveTopCreator!) Ha, ha...the grin, the wink, the airs, the bum...but... the HANDS...they are the best! :)
Thank you Topsy! I actually based the hands on Axonn (8733) with several modifications. I don't like reinventing the wheel when it rolls so well. ;) So, I can't take full credit. But, I will. XD

Quoting Stuart Lucas Matt, this made me laugh out loud. You have a seriously warped mind in the best possible way! Kudos for the silly acronym too...
Stuart, you have just successfully defined my finest attribute: Seriously warped mind. Truly a perfect description that I wear with pride. Couldn't resist the name, just had to be. ;) Thank you Stuart!

Thank you Doc! Definite potential in concept with the different emoticons. Thought it sounded like something in a Michael Bay movie. ;)

Quoting David Alexander Smith The wink charmed me from the outset. Best acronym ever. Bio-mechs built from bricks, it's the future. Now all you have to do is build him a Ms Pacman buddy.
All I could think of when I was building this was how do I make it NOT look like Pac-Man. crud. XD Brick built and spherical; the double whammy. As much fun as this was, I doubt that anyone else will venture forth into this realm. Shame too, brutal and fun rarely go hand in hand. Thank you David!

Thank you Zach! Threw the PG on because of the last photo. Could have left it out, but thought it was too precious not to include. Pretty sure that everyone knows that universal gesture from about the age of two, but... ;)
