2014 MocAthalon: A Pirates' Haven
About this creation
Team: The Broken Bricks
2014 MocAthalon
Category: A Pirates' Haven

If you were a Pirate, where would you like to call home? Build a sanctuary that a pirate could call his own. No size restrictions.

I built a small shack on the beach in a secluded cove.

I dumped a bunch of clear studs around the beach but unfortunately they didn't show up well in my photos.

Pirate captain Finn enjoys his beach hideout.

Pirates divide up the loot of their past raids.

Aaaarghh! Behold me fierce pirates!

Thanks for viewing mateys!

Quoting Justin Knelsen Although the building is not the kind I would expect as a Pirates haven, it is extremely well built with great part usage. Score: 4
Well. I figured that after the pirates finished their outposts and forts, they might try making a comfy little shack to rest in.

I teetered between a strong three or scaping up to a four and went with the later for the NPU on the building. Score of 4 ~ Chris.

Now THAT's a pirates hideout! Mine is garbage in comparison. ;) I'm quite fond of the shingle technique you used, it's not often seen. Another heat entry Finn!

Fantastic build! I love the shaping/texturing/coloring on the building; those loose tiles really add to it! The landscaping is also phenomenal, some of the best I've seen, and I love the small gaps between the boards on the dock; I'll have to try that semi-SNoTed design sometime.
