LIU Business Tower - Moonbase Sector
This small building runs the LIU's business in the moonbase sector.
About this creation
LIU Business Tower - Moonbase Sector

In order to increase profits, the Ludgonian Industrial Union decided it was about time they expanded their business into the moonbase sector. The center of their expansion is the five story LIU Business Tower. This building handles all the LIU's business and financial needs in the Moonbase Sector.

Overview

The Business Tower was thrown together rather quickly as the LIU wanted to get into this sector as soon as possible. To counter its quick construction, the Business Tower was designed to be modular. There are currently five floors, but more can be added when the moon business increases.

A bright neon sign insures that the entire moonbase knows that the LIU has expanded its operations.

The rear of the building is far from being pleasant to the eye, but its an important pic, as it shows the six story elevator shaft.

The building's architecture is a reflection of most of the LIU's products....white and boxy.

Are you sick of looking at the same pic at different angles? Yeah, so are we. Lets start heading inside.

Well, not quite yet. A few looks at the airlock/connector first.

Door closed...

Door open.....and now we head into the main floor.

Main Floor (1)

The main floor of the Business Tower is the reception area. It contains a waiting area and the hot secretary's desk. It even has a nice plant in the corner....

The secretary sets appointments, controls access to the elevator, and has a small monitor to link with LIU security. Don't try to attack this building, the elevator locks down at the touch of a button.

Three customers wait in the waiting area. Some are here for designs, some for loans, and some for business deals. Let's take the elevator(left) up to the second floor, the design center.

Design Center (2)

Do you need a product the LIU doesn't produce? Come to the design center and sit with one of our engineers. He'll listen to your needs and start designing a product right then and there. He'll then send the rough design to a LIU Factory, where the design will be finalized.

Here, two members of the Galactic Circus, the Amazing Big Eye Man and the Bearded Lady, sit down with the engineer while he designs them their new Orbiting Circus Dome....

Now, back to the elevator. Time to visit the thrid floor, the Business Office.

Business Office (3)

The Business Office is where the LIU completes all it deals, such as signing contracts or agreements. Whether you completed a design the floor below or you want a established LIU product, you come here to barter your price. These tuxedo clad business men are some of the LIU's best.

Here, these two Space Police Officers try to get a lower price on the four hundred LIU Police Gunships they need. Believe it or not, they'll walk away from this desk paying more than the original asking price.

Business contracts are also completed here. This representative of Octan is here to extend its sponsorship of the LIU. Apparently, the LIU's SuperTanker has increased the Octan Corporation's profits ten fold.

Note the flowers in the corner...how pretty! Actually, LIU experts have found customers will pay more when they see flowers in the room. At least they think so...

After you've bartered a price and placed your order, you need to pay for your product. Let's head up to the fourth floor to take care of that.

Payment Center (4)

While most customers will pay via online money transfers, the LIU still provides a direct payment center for smaller empires or for those that want to pay cash (like hiding criminals). Large amounts of cash flow through this floor.

An automated machine takes payments. Just enter your order number and insert your payment.

The money falls into these two locked safes.

For those that don't trust the automated machines, there is also a human banker to take your payments. She also consults with clients that would like a loan. Here she can perform credit checks and all that good stuff.

With so much money moving through this floor, the LIU posts a highly armed guard here. He will unleash a fury of bullets if anyone tries to steal even a penny. In the LIU, money means everything.

Money needs to be unloaded every night and a LIU Armored Craft needs a place to land. So lets head to the roof.

Roof (5)

There is plenty of room up here for the Armored Craft.

Various mechanical features of the building are also located here, like the elevator's generator and the LIU Sign's brightness controls.

When we started this project, we mentioned that there was five floors, and we weren't counting the roof. So where's the other floor? Its the basement. After entering a code, the elevator goes all the way down.

Moonbase Sector Cargo Tracking Servers (-1)

If you have ever visited the LIU Cargo Tracking Unit's page, then you know that the Ludgonian Industrial Union operates a universe wide parcel tracking program called the Cargo Tracking System. The Business Tower houses one of the CTS's large servers. Its hidden in the basement.

A Information Technology Engineer watches over the system's server. This substation is responsible for the six galaxies nearest to the moonbase sector. There is one radar for each galaxy. The IT Engineer makes sure this substation stays running.

His partner stares at the CTS's cargo lists to insure that it is processing everything up to speed.

Almost Done

We leave you with this last view...

Note: The Business Center is open 24 hours a day for your convenience. Sometime in the near future, the LIU plans to extend the Business Tower to twenty stories, and it hopes to included an embassy, a press conference room, and possibly a show room of mini LIU products. Don't hold your breath though.

Note: Note: A few more stories have been completed and a pick a brick order is coming. Look for the 20+ story LIU Business Tower later this month...

Great Build, now you should make a bank robbery moc or something like that where the LIU finally meets its match at thievery and scheming as ruthless criminals invade some important gov building and steal money, i want to see the LIU mobilize troops and every thing to see if they can stop the criminals.
