NOAS-XT-X X-Type X
So, I finished this model and had it all set up to do some great action shots, and then my backdrop fell on it and flattened it. I couldn't rebuild it afterwards--just too disheartening, so this is all we'll ever see of this model, I'm afraid...
About this creation

This is what the LDD file will look like when you open it. This is mostly for those that are curious. More photos of the completed model will be coming next week sometime!

New pics are up--this is pretty much it for this MOC. Of course, the LDD instructions are there, so you can build your own if you like. On to the Strike Gundam Version 3!

Quoting Christian Bish Can you try to build the Strike Gundam with all of its packs or no????
First of all, I've built the strike twice--once in real bricks and once digitally. I am currently working on third version right now. I'm not building the packs though--they're too heavy and make the model fall over. I'll make the model so that it has all the needed attachment points, and then I'll include the LDD file, but someone else will have to make them and try them out. Not interested.

Quoting JosephC 123 I seem to always be in awe of your creations and how clean they are. I do have some questions however. I would like to know how you come up with your weapons for your gundams, since I cant seem to come up with any design that looks good. Even a simple gun or rifle is hard for me. I was also wondering if it would be possible to show how you make your display stand. Your models seem to look more animated when suspended like that. Anyway, just wondering! Looks great!!
I can definitely include the instructions for the stand. But its going to be a few days before I am able to do so. As for weapons--I look to existing mecha for inspiration and then go from there. The important thing with just about any skill including lego building is to keep practicing and one day you will find that your builds more than exceed your expectations. But you have to keep trying new things to get there.

Quoting Christian Bish Also, in my comment I did say that NOAS Looks like Hi-V gundam with a cannon that is styled like the sat cannon from Gundam X
There's a lot of stylistic elements taken from other models on this one: The wing binders are from the Hi-Nu Gundam, the funnels/wings are taken mostly from the Strike Freedom Gundam. The retractable gatling vulcans on the shoulders are taken from the Wing Gundam Zero, the Torso and some of the waist area is based off the Strike Gundam and the Freedom Gundam, the legs are based off the Freedom Gundam and the large cannon is based off the Gundam X Maoh. So, lots of influences there.

Quoting Christian Bish I like it and I am trying to make a MS but I am having issues with the waist I did make leg armor but I think they are poorly made. The Chest is the hard part because I am making a variant of the Exia and it is hard to make. Oh before I for get, NOAS looks almost like the Hi-v Gundam
There are a number of people online that have completed or are working on Exia models. If you want some pointers, here are some of them: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/347146, http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/376080, http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/316102, and finally my own 00 gundam, which is similar in design to the Exia in many respects and would make a good starting point http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/278636. I will never be building Exia because I can't stand the design quite frankly--I don't know what everyone loves so much about it.

In addition to all of my praise over on flickr, I gotta say that I like how everything you create can be recreated in LDD. It definitely makes inspecting your work much more enjoyable.
