EXTRA EXTRA! Almost done! I'm still missing the dark red 2x3 wingpieces... Today I felt illuminated and inspired to sort out some issues with this car. Tweeks are: chopped windscreens, sectioned body, reworked frontend, reworked rearend, turbine-engine moved into the body, some detailing around the windshields, and last but not least, lowered rearsuspension. Now I really want the last dark red bricks to complete the car. So STAY TUNED! STAY TUNED! STAY TUNED! While I'm extremely happy with my big bad beautiful Batmobile, eventhough I used lime green instead of red because of lack of th right colored bricks, I build a 7 stud wide variation of it. The big car didn't go well in Lego's modular building scale. I succesfully downscaled my Vampyre Hearse into a 7 stud version so I thought to myself: 'Why not make a 7-stud wide Batmobile'. I still don't have the right red parts, and I ran out of limegreen, so instead I used white as a contrasting color. Think it's about time I ordered me some dark red bricks and replace all of these wrong colors! But for now white bricks will do...

Quoting clayton Marchetti I saw your update over on brickshelf I like what you did with the front windows . Just my own two cents I like the version with the dark red mud guards. Either way it's looking pretty sweet.
Thanks Clayton! Personally I prefer the architectual arch bricks because of it giving the model its mean hotrod look... But since it started to resemble the original car with all the details I added I went with the carfender arches. It adds just another realistic detail to the this model. The model has evolved so much that I considder it a new moc. So I posted it seperately with the addition of a scenery to make it a complete playset you can vote for on Lego-ideas (cuusoo) the new post can be found here: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/387151

Quoting MortalSwordsman . Love these! Unique solutions and shapes created. Great work
Thanks! Good of you to notice :-) all three cars have a slightly different frontend. And I just came up with anotherone. But until I get my dark red wing pieces I won't be able to make up my mind.

Quoting clayton Marchetti I know what you mean , I do the same thing . Especially as new exciting pieces come out.
Heheh, to me ALL pieces are new and exciting... Still used to my 80's collection including the way if building. Only last few weeks or so I really dug into the snot techniques, and learning while I go... Also, because of the limitaion in pieces, everytime I change some pieces of my models the previous pieces suddenly seem to be the sollution to other issues I had somewhere else on the model... I keep on rearranging after rearranging after rearranging, up to the point every piece is in the right spot. Ain't Lego fun..? ;-)

Quoting clayton Marchetti I saw this over on brickshelf so I thought id check back here. I like the changes you made and the red looks fantastic.
Thanks! I kinda keep on making changes to my build. Trying to make it better every single time. In looks and in construction. I have only a small amount of thosee dark red pieces, and I had to shift em all around and rearrange em on this model. Using leftover tiles and jumperplates on strategic places... Just because I have not enough regular plates in that color... So, since these photo's were taken, changes have already taken place... ;-)

Quoting Starscream Soundwave It's a shame about the colours, because these look great.
Thanks Starscream Soundwave! As I said in my previous comment, I've been tweeking the car Since these photo's were taken and replacing the contrasting colors to (dark-)red will be next! So stay tuned...

Quoting cyberfrank 2010 great shapes, I love how the car is tilted to the front!
Thanks cyberfrank! However, I've been tweeking this car since these photo's were taken... So it now features some slightly different shapes (still great ;-p ) and I have reduced the tilting to the front to stay true to it's origin: a custom-rod, instead of a hotrod...
