Have you ever heard of "Bad Bob"? You know, the old western outlaw? of course not. I am about to tell you why… It happened last week. My strange friend Ben gave me what he said was a time travelling machine. I didn't believe him, of course, until he showed me a blaster he said he had brought back. It was an awesome blaster, he said I could borrow it for my first trip, so on Monday morning, (who doesn't want to time travel on monday morning?) I hopped out of bed, grabbed the borrowed blaster, And set off!
I mean I would have, If I could have figured out the time machine… I spent several minutes fiddling with the time settings, threw it on the floor in frustration, picked it up, and noticed a dial on the little thing.
I touched the time dial on the time machine… I was setting it back to the A. D. 187, when it unexpectedly malfunction and WHOOSH! I was blown out of my room and into the sky beyond. In my mind I saw many images twirling, random lights flashing, and I felt nauseous...
I felt the whoosh feeling beginning to fade… I opened my eyes, and where should I find myself but right in the middle of a western town from the 1870's, with a gang right in front of my face!
The gang was led by "Bad Bob-whom-you've-never-heard-of". He was a frightening figure, who was obviously terrorizing the town.
There was fear written in the faces of the poor citizens.
Bad Bob turned and faced me. He had a maniacal grin on his face, denoting a large amount of whiskey in his stomach. I heard his revolver click… I needed to act fast! I raised my blaster and fired wildly into the gang!
BLOOEY!! My futuristic blaster bolt landed right in the midst of the group of outlaws!
I looked with disgust at the fried skeletons. I wanted to leave now, but I was curious to see the inside of the bar.
On one side of the room I could see a barrel of gin, a table, and a chair.
I cut my eyes to the other side of the room. So this is what western bars really looked like!
I spotted a deer head on the wall… Quite nice...
Well, It had been exciting time traveling, but I figured it was time to get home and see what was to be done about the hole in my bedroom ceiling….
Here is one of the windows. I used a mineshaft sort of look for the borders... And here is the sheriff. He will take credit for the destruction of the gang. I mean, hey, what the citizens don't know won't hurt them!
So, I read through the story, taking a cursory look at the builds, get to the end and say "Yeah, about a 4 I think." Then I go back and look again (as always) to double check... some REALLY nice detail NPU in there. Score just scapped up to a 5 ~ Chris.
