Millennium Falcon - Final Version
This is my third and final version of Han Solo's Millennium Falcon, displayed for the first time at Brickworld 2007. Building time was around two months.
About this creation
June 2007 saw the final version of my attempts to recreate the famous smuggler's ship in Lego

While the interior support structure has some similarities to that of the second version, the third one was built from the ground up.

This is roughly the same size as the second version, however it is much heavier.

The front interior of the ship has been decorated, but the back remains support-only.

A hallways connects the cockpit to the interior rooms

For this version, I decided to recreate a scene at the end of Episode V. Lando, Chewie, Leia, and Hand-less Luke are in the cockpit.

Since the older Falcon was mostly old grey (and the new one bley), I am able to keep it together.

Fantastic. I am so pleased being able to see this scale of Millennium Falcon truly built in real life!

Very nice! Is this the same size as the UCS version or is this bigger? That rear section gave me an idea to put some leds in the rear of my custom Millennium Falcon that I'm currently building.

Truly incredible that I should see this as MOTD when I was looking at it on Flickr only yesterday. As amazing as this is, it has its problems. The turbolasers, for example, appear to be identical to those on the UCS model, and are, as such, too small.

Holy santa clause sht. thats the coolest millennium falcon i've ever seen! btw, how big is it compared to the new $500 one that lego makes, and what other things does this one have that the lego brand one doesn't (besides all the cool rooms and "decorative" extras)?

yegads. My wife and I both thought you had borrowed a shot from the movie when we saw the thumnail of the hallway interior. Then we clicked it. two people simultaneously trying to stuff their eyes back into their sockets aint no pretty picture. I bow to your vastly superior skills. One question... how long did it take?

That's just shy of perfect. As in, if you got any better you could smuggle Rebel troopers through Imperial blockades with it. LEGO finally came to their senses and made a full scale replica, which I must say is a little more color-coded, but you absolutely whomped their interior detail. I love the hallway! Absolutely fantastic! -- -- Michael
