Strakk (BBRC R3)
This is my entry to Round 3 of the Biannual Bio-Revamp Cup. My category is one set combiner, I have to revamp a set using pieces from only three (or less) sets. The sets I used to make Strakk are: Strakk, Stormer, and Takadox. I hope you like it!

Also, for the record, I've changed my score for you to 6. Seeing as Steve didn't manage to pull things off the way I would have imagined the category could and should go, I'll go ahead and give you credit for the NPU you have managed.

Quoting X ~ Very nICE. Really dig the simplistic look on him. And the torso, that's just cool. Have my 7.
Thank you!

Quoting Toa Nexal Excellent choice of sets, but to my knowledge the silver HF shield wasn't in that Stormer set.
Thanks! It was on his back.

Quoting Stormjay Rider Yes, but he uses normal pieces in new and unexpected ways (his torso especially.)
But Irnakk is not one of the three Piraka used to make him. If you gave Pik the option to make a new character out of three sets, instead of making a revamp of one, his MOC would probably be a decent bit more impressive. What this boils down to is a poor category, frankly. It's a neat concept that's hard to use well in practice.

Quoting Reaper . I'm particularly impressed with this. It uses the parts from three relatively simple sets to make a very good revamp. While it is a tad simple, I can't think of a way that it would not have been simple, and the category almost demanded simplicity. As such, 8 points
Thanks! Yes, it's simple because of the category I got. It could have been more complex if I got a better category. :)

Quoting Stormjay Rider As a matter of fact, yes. Even the combi models of simple sets usually had some extremely different uses of parts -- take Irnakk, for example. Innovation would have been nice -- I use standardized parts all the time, in different ways (my personal favorite use has been Vahki legs used as shoulders.) And @Legobob, Yes, I am harsh. It's how I roll.
Irnakk is a combiner of three different characters to make a new character, not a revamp of one of the characters used to make it.

Quoting Legobob 29 Really cool man, given the constraints of this category. I think Stormjay's being a bit harsh, though... there isn't many sets that you might still have together that have lots of parts good for MOCing!
Thanks! The only set that wasn't built was Takadox, I had to look for his pieces.

With the limited parts you had, you did a great job. The limbs work, however simple, and the armor placement on the torso is fantastic! Good luck in the contest!

All things considered you did a great job - it is simple, but withthe parts constraints, it's hard not to be: 8. :3

Quoting Stormjay Rider He's very simple. I would have advised using some sets that had more pieces to be used in custom MOCing. Although the torso and armor placement are pretty sweet. 4 points.
So I get 4 points because the build is simple?
