LOM: Leaving Carthal
About this creation
"I am leaving Carthal. It has become too dangerous for me here. I am headed north, back to my Outlaw homeland. I have hopes of meeting my companions again, though I know they will be angry that I did not wait for them when I headed down to Worsan. Strange, to think so much has happened in just a few months, and I have changed so much.

"I used to always want to be alone. Then the Black Lotus caused me to fear everybody. But now I long for companions whom I can trust fully. And I can trust Schrazcss, Natilus and Taur fully.
"But can I really? I have not seen them in months... I am heading towards an empty promise.

"I very nearly beat him. The giant I was facing at my last round of the tourney. In the heat of the battle, Mythronian Soldiers entered the arena, trying to convict me for one of my many crimes (I had taken advantage of present opportunities at Carthal, during a supposed time of peace). I fled the arena.

"The day after, the Black Lotus once again picked up my trail. I knew they would find me eventually, but they found me rather too soon for my taste. I decided to change uniforms. This would confuse the Black Lotus a little, if not much. It was necessary, too: My old clothes were in bad condition following the tourney. Now I am headed back north.

"Always on the run, always moving, wandering. Heading towards... towards what? I guess I shall see..."

~Qinon, the Lost Ranger

***

Figless shot. I tried some new things with the base (yes, the Hand of Defiance is still there, and I am still planning on revising the concept ect. some day). I also worked with some interesting textures, which are loosely the same as on my Tourney Round 2 entry, but a little different. Mainly though, this was just to fast-forward Qinon's storyline a bit, and get him his new outfit...

Well, I hope you liked it!

EDIT: Credit for the window framed with cheese slopes instead of an arch goes to Halhi 141.

Quoting Gilbert Despathens That's pretty cool for such a small build. The border looks great, too.
Thanks! There is actually a small gap behind the shield, but it still looks pretty good...

Quoting ~ Brick Sweet vignette! I myself once made the same mistake of having the tiles all crazy, but it really does look better when they are straight.
Yup. I just straightened them, and I am not sure if it really looks better, but maybe that's because the textures were put in the wall in accordance to the tile's tilted positions and now some of the 1x1 round plates are entirely hidden.

Quoting Ben King Awesome textures! I've never seen cheese slopes used to build around an arch like that, great idea!
That idea is not, in fact, mine. I forgot to credit Halhi 141... I will edit that right now.

Quoting Kai Bernstein Pretty nice! The path is well-made (aside from the you-know-whats :P) and the texturing on the wall is quite good. I do agree with Stephen on the diagonal tiles, though; I've seen that from time to time and it rarely works. :P
I am assuming the you-know-what's are the 1x1 square tiles and plates? :P I think those are actually necessary to make the path more interesting visually (and leave less gaps...). Anywho, thanks for the praise!

Quoting Stephen Boe Great texture on the road and building! The tiles really need straightening though, I mean, have you ever seen diagonal bricks on walls?
True, I haven't seen diagonal bricks on walls... whoops. :P But I do like the sort of ramshackle look they give the building. I will straighten them next time, though. ;)
