About this creation

A recreation of M<0><0>DSWIM's Starscream's Brigade (Micro-Mood Scale) model

Colours are mine, design is 100% Moodswim.

For anyone not sure who acidstorm is....

"The morning after"

I wanted to add some commentary about this one but ran out of time, so here are some extra notes 24 hours later.

Moodswim has been creating these micro-mood-scale designs for a few weeks now and I've looked with envy at how good they were. While my own micro-sale is focused on packing as much articulation as you can in a small body, Moody focuses more on character.

I decided to go with recreating his Seeker design because it easily lends itself to repaints without directly copying anything Moodswim has already created. But it was more to analyse the assembly process to get some ideas for approaching my own designs in this scale.

There are some aspects though that I'm not sure about, my focus in my own designs has always been NO PARTSFORMING. Weapons can be treated as separate but nothing else. As a result, while I love this figure it isn't built how I would have done it, which probably explains why I wouldn't be able to come up with a design like this completely on my own.

Regardless, it's a nifty bit of design work and far superior to the Kreon "minifig" scale transforming figures which ALSO partsform.

In summary, there are some ideas here I will probably take inspiration from for future designs, it's an interesting challenge to create something ORIGINAL in this scale and may make it a future project assuming I have time and inspiration.

Thanks Moodswim.

Quoting Declan Muller So, definitely no partsforming?
This design does have some partsforming. The wings and weapons need to be removed to put them in the correct positions for vehicle and robot modes. When I stressed "No parts-forming" I was referring to my own designs. This isn't one of my designs.

Quoting M<0><0>DSWIM ! Looks great, man! It's nice to see someone else try out my design. As far as piece count, I may have miscounted when I built mine. XD.
You were right, my version missed a 1x1 stud with hole at the waist, so it's only a 97% recreation of your design.
