About this creation
"It was a dark day, emotionally and physically- the king's death was on everyone's mind. One could come no more than a few feet from the wall before feeling the frustration and anger surrounding everything. To make matters even darker, the first waves of the Black Lotus Army was headed towards us. If was up to me, Sir Kindle, and the men of Mythron to defend the gate of Griffin Claw Keep at all costs."

LOM: Siege of Griffin Claw Keep
Sir Kindle trotted out of the Keep's gate, with a group of Spearmen quickly forming up beside him.

LOM: Siege of Griffin Claw Keep
As the Black Lotus approached, the young knight sat high on his horse....quite sure he would overcome his foes and claim victory for Mythron.

LOM: Siege of Griffin Claw Keep
More and more of the dark army came into view, Sir Kindle's confidence wavered for a moment. He quickly reminded himself that he was fighting with the best trained warriors in all the land, and his fear vanished.

LOM: Siege of Griffin Claw Keep
The archers atop the castle wall were ordered by another general to take aim, in a few seconds a shower of arrows were headed towards the Black Lotus.

LOM: Siege of Griffin Claw Keep
Sir Kindle shouted with a thrust of courage, "For Mythron! And for our King!" Although the Black Lotus briefly took a moment to think about the words he said, it did not stop their march....they were determined to take the Keep.

LOM: Siege of Griffin Claw Keep
While the archers did their best to hold back the oncoming army, it would not last forever. Even more hooded figures and trolls came to fight, things were about to get messy.

LOM: Siege of Griffin Claw Keep
Two of the horsemen approached Sir Kindle, he gripped his sword tightly. Readying it for a harsh battle.

LOM: Siege of Griffin Claw Keep
He raised his shield to one man, and his sword to the other.

LOM: Siege of Griffin Claw Keep
From out of the crowd of dead bodies and soldiers, a figure raised his hand. Lighting began to form in it, and right before the power killed the man himself....it fired it towards the wall!

LOM: Siege of Griffin Claw Keep
When the magical burst hit the wall, a huge chunk of stone was slashed out. A young wizard apprentice screamed in horror, "NOO! Where is my master, we need his help now!"

LOM: Siege of Griffin Claw Keep
Despite Mythron's best efforts, the men were weakening. They could not hold of the enemy much longer!

LOM: Siege of Griffin Claw Keep
A soldier on top of the castle wall had finally readied one of their greatest defenses...a giant crossbow! He let go of the string, and away the huge arrow flew!

LOM: Siege of Griffin Claw Keep
The spear-sized arrow imbedded itself in the neck of the dark wizard below! He cried in a thunderous voice, screaming for help. Of course, none was given and he soon died in the fray of battle.

LOM: Siege of Griffin Claw Keep
On the ground weapons clashed, battle cries were yelled, and blood spilled over the stone ground. But from seemingly nowhere, an archer appeared!

LOM: Siege of Griffin Claw Keep
When Mythron was at it's breaking point, reinforcements from within the castle came! It was Sir Adamus! He had fresh troops ready for combat following him, ready to join the battle!

LOM: Siege of Griffin Claw Keep
The dignified elf valiantly lead his soldiers into the bloodbath, while Sir Kindle and his tattered forces retreated deeper into the Keep.

LOM: Siege of Griffin Claw Keep
Sir kindle gazed over the battle as he turned his horse into the gate... he thought to himself, "No. I can't retreat now! Even if we're only half alive, and our blades are dull and our hopes burnt. We must fight to the finish!"

LOM: Siege of Griffin Claw Keep
Everyone had all but forgotten about the green clocked figure standing on the roof top. To the Mythronian archer's surprise, he was actually firing arrows against the Black Lotus!

LOM: Siege of Griffin Claw Keep
One of his arrows smoothly glided threw the air, until it bluntly stopped. Jabbing right threw the neck of a Black Lotus Horsemen.

LOM: Siege of Griffin Claw Keep
The mysterious archer gracefully hopped on the wall, continuing to fire with a seemingly endless supply of arrows!

LOM: Siege of Griffin Claw Keep
He proceeded to take out half a dozen more outlaws, always hitting them with perfection.

LOM: Siege of Griffin Claw Keep
Even with this advantage though, the dark army was slaying Mythron's troops to quickly. They were forced to retreat deeper into the city, with only one soldier left!

LOM: Siege of Griffin Claw Keep
Coming from out of nowhere, a wizard descended from the sky on the back of a giant Eagle! The creature gave a mighty cry, scaring some of the Black Lotus soldiers to death!

LOM: Siege of Griffin Claw Keep
In the palm of the wizard's hand formed a ball of lightning, not unlike that of the dark wizard's, but it was more controlled. He let it out upon the evil Black Lotus to scare them once and for all!

LOM: Siege of Griffin Claw Keep
It was at this time the green clocked archer saw an opportunity. He leaped with incredible agility! This would be the final stand against the Black Lotus's Dark Army.

LOM: Siege of Griffin Claw Keep
He landed on the ground without a sound, and speedily fired an arrow right up the nostril of a Black Lotus soldier. It was quite gory, but the archer smirked with his success.

LOM: Siege of Griffin Claw Keep
It was at that time that the wizard took flight on his giant friend again, casting a wave of lighting and cutting of the rest of the dark army as he flew away.

LOM: Siege of Griffin Claw Keep
The heroes looked over the battlefield. It was over....at least until more Black Lotus soldiers invade in a few hours. A quick bit of conversation took place between the men, the hooded figure introduced himself as Destrian, and the dignified elf pronouced that he was Sir Adamus of Mythron.

LOM: Siege of Griffin Claw Keep
Once the introductions were complete, the trio headed back into the city. They would need time to bandage wounds and prepare new men for an even greater battle!

*Tomorrow more figless pictures will be coming, along with a 4th. wall commentary. Until then, it's time for me to get some sleep! XD

Quoting ~ Brick The Balck Lotus is made of blood thristy outlaws...mostly. See this way, for every one triained assassin, there's 10 bloody outlaws. And as you know, the average outlaw cares little of secrecy.
The Black Lotus is made of incredibly well trained and conditioned people from all walks of life. Even if they are recruiting mindless Outlaws, they have an image to keep up. One of intimidation, one of danger. Fighting this way just makes the Lands laugh at them.

Quoting Kai Bernstein
Quoting ~Brick Yes Kai, secrecy and lies are the way of the Inner council....but as for the bulk of the army, it's easy for a full fledged attack.
Seems I'm now contesting all the LOM staff. Regardless, easier for the bulk of the army? How so? If secrecy and lies are what the Black Lotus was founded upon and runs on, an army of saboteurs and agitators would be preferable. They'd be equally as effective and would suffer no casualties. This full frontal assault doesn't seem to have a point and is costly to their numbers...

Quoting Kai Bernstein
Quoting ~ Brick 1. After the king was killed the full force of the Black Lotus is making a march towards his castle and other supporting king's castles. 2. If you remember, while the Black Lotus does have some ex-Mythronians in the bunch, their is a hired majority of outlaws. Untrained, slow, careless, stup1d outlaws! (Present commenter excluded :P )
But...but that doesn't make sense! If the Black Lotus has the power, reach and reason to assassinate the king, then they must have a plan they're working towards, one that clearly takes place behind the scenes. Why rush Mythron after killing the king? Why not bribe the King's brother or fool him into letting some BL operatives into high places? And yes, the BL has its foot soldiers, but I imagine all are trained rather more extensively than your average rabble of Outlaws: not only must they be efficient, but they have a reputation to keep up as well. :P

Hola Brick, we have a lot of people (including Asad) that you need to ban from the Mythron group.

*gasp* I forgot to comment! Great job on this. One thing annoys me. The giant crossbow is called a ballista and it is not pulled back by hand: http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll167/davidanita/ballista.jpg Great job tho.

Quoting Kai Bernstein I agree with Halhi on the layout and that the build lacks detail. The ground could use the occasional discolored section or round tile and the wall could use some more masonry bricks or texturing tiles (though not to the point of dilapidation). And as for the story...I'm no staff member, but from what I know the Black Lotus does not attack head-on. They work behind the scenes: influencing, corrupting, assassinating, controlling... They would take this keep by slipping past the guards over time, coming in as travelers, and then suddenly overwhelming the soldiers from behind. And even if it came to battle, they are not so easily defeated; these are master warriors and magicians, and one old wizard would be incinerated in an instant. :P
I'm not gonna talk about the lack of details on the wall anymore, but I will talk about the Black Lotus. 1. After the king was killed the full force of the Black Lotus is making a march towards his castle and other supporting king's castles. 2. The build is really good, your wall makes me feel good about my latest MOC, (not yet posted. :3) and the story is good. I'd leave an awesome comment but I can't say what I've said on pretty much all your other builds. :P

Quoting Stephen Boe Excellent! Still can't believe you though Destrian was an elf. (*facepalm*). THAT WAS NEVER SPOKEN WHAT IS GOING ON IN YOUR HEAD. Yeah, agree with some of the others, the castle wall needs more detail, dude you have a ton of brick bricks! The rest is still quite nice, though! Not sure what to think of your execution of Destrian. He's a little bit to agile. Oh, and the nostril bit is fine.
In my defense, I took those agility shots when I still thought he was an elf:P

FINALLYA REAL MOC WITH A REAL ROLE PLAY!!! Sorry, I just came from Star Wars Creations, and people are arguing about a role play they're trying to create, and no one seems to be making any progress! Imagine that...Anyway, I figured I'd stop by The Pages and saw this! Amazing story, and I think the walls are defiantly cool. Sure, detail wouldn't hurt, but after seeing the standards of the LSWC, it's amazing. Of course, I can't post anything for a while; I'm going to Virginia Beach for a MONTH! :D Okay, sorry for my annoying comment.

Nice job! Wall is nice, but I do agree about the wall. Little more detail would be better. But a good build nonetheless. PS: I noticed (use https://www.flickr.com/photos/bricksflickr/13939205136/ for reference) that the two farmers on either side and the man with a black hood and sword beside the pigs never move. Frozen in time, huh? :P

Really nice build. But - (I'm not sure if anyone has said this yet as I have not looked through the comments) I think you should put more detail into the castle wall.

Personally, I'd rather just go with more details. :P

Quoting Thomas of Tortuga Really nice, clean scene! I think you could use more action in the figure posing- the BL looks like they're standing and watching in half the pictures. In my humble opinion, I think that setting a fig on top of the eagle looks a little awkward and top-heavy. Maybe you could say something like "He's summoning the eagle to aid him." I think the wall could use a lot more detail, although the offsets are nice. Also, in real life, I doubt there would be homes set so close to the plaza. Homes are more likely to be surrounded by dirt, trash, and supplies than being surrounded by smooth stone. I think you should put the stone as a road running through the city, then have houses set in textured mud or dirt to add color and personality. Also, although the build is nice and large, there are a few pictures where the border runs right behind the BL army. Making the scene ~6 studs longer would help with that. Just curious, did Destrian ask to shot out somebody's nostril? :P
Thanks Thomas, and I agree a lot. But as far as extending the scene another 6 studs....it would be impossible! I had used every dark tan plate I had and was dangerously low on tiles. BTW, Destrian didn't ask....but I think he'll like it when he sees it. ;)
