Hey! My entry for the April U.C. for the Lands of Mythron!
About this creation
Note: Click on the pics for high quality.

Name: Sir Zachariah of Lucia
Faction: The noble Kingdom of Mythron.
Story: "After a rather daring escape from the fallen fort Sisera, our hero has arrived at Meids, the northern most castle of Mythron, and the one that fell waste to the majority of outlaw raids during the invasion of Rainos. After much of the city was laid waste, King Rowan had the city refortified, rebuilding the walls and making it the most fortified position in Mythron. But enough of the backstory. After Rowans assassination, I had been assigned to the defense of Meids, (Lead by the legendary Sir Kindle) we prepared for an assault. The first assault came at Griffin Claw, Destrian and Kindle were able to repel the assault. Later an attack at a small sea-side was repelled Inigo. Now, we have our own problems. An all out assault has hit Meids, hundreds of thousands of outlaws poured out of the mountains, engulfing the surrounding country-side. But the walls stood against the assault. We had held our own well, to well. A dark figure had stepped up on the rocks near the castle, muttered an obscene curse, and out of the blood of the dead outlaws, rose a monster, a blood dragon. Shades."

"Well, here we go again. We were able to repel the beast, but we had a slight problem, we were able to repel the demon, and protect the city, but the new king wants something more. He requires scouting out of the northern reaches, and guess who got qualified? I guess putting a sword through a dragon makes me a hero or something."

Tidbits: I know this is behind the deadline, but MOCpages was down ALL day yesterday for me. I got in touch with Freeling, and he gave me a one day grace period. Comments and criticism appreciated.

Edit: So, I was searching through my pic folders, and found these, man, am I glad I did.

HOLY BRICK!!! I'm stunned dude!!! Great build!!! BTW: Due to your resent comment in the group "Backup LEGO Lord of the Rings Gallery", I updated the rules for that group and I would be very thankful if you checked them out and let me know what you think. Also, since you seem to have a lot of good ideas and know more about how to manage stuff on MOCpages, I would be glad to make you a mod if you want (and if you rejoin, of course).

Fabulous build, Zach! Now that I can actually see the build, I'll comment :P First of all, the castle walls are really wonderful, especially in terms of architectural detail. Other than perhaps a few color changes (the windows to light grey), there really isn't anything to change here. You did wonderfully on the dragon-- not much to say here. On to the landscape... to be honest, this is one of your weaker areas IMO. I'm not a big fan of tree leaves alone as foliage, as I think it looks too unnatural-- if you have the pieces, I've found that a mixture of grass stalks, bamboo plants, and those big three-leafed plants work well together, especially when a touch of color through flowers is added-- I prefer yellow, but it doesn't really matter. For the rockwork, it has a few gaps too many for my liking, although, the right section is looking pretty good, minus the abrupt ending. The area on top of the rockwork looks bare-- perhaps some foliage here would help. Onto the back... the ground is a little too bare-- again, some foliage, and then perhaps some ground texturing would help out a ton here. The buildings are a bit too square and uniform for my liking, although, other than that the building on the right is looking pretty good (the building on the left's texture colors are too clashing-- dark tan and white right next to each other don't really flow). Overall though, excellent work here, and I think that if you build to your strengths (probably castle walls and creatures), you're going to be one of our stronger members. Again, nice work, and keep it up!

Very well done! I like all the action this MOC of yours has and the little dragon is great! Nice job on the walls! :D One thing I'm not crazy about are the back of the rocks in the front. Maybe you could have added some brown or something to make it look like the different layers of earth. Either way, spectacular work!

Love this! I work for the Jewish Federation of Greater Toledo. Our theme for this year is "Building Blocks for our Future" We are looking for someone that could create Judaic items/scenes (6x6inches) to be given as awards to our volunteers. Noah's Arc, Moses, 10 commandments etc.... If this is something you can do please email me @ Colette@jewishtoledo.org

Halhi said it all. :P I do think there could be some more layering on the dark tan at the back, and grill bricks rarely work as masonry. :P

Great castle! The pictures are really bright so it's hard to see all those details, but that doesn't really matter. The build is great. The castle wall has some awesome textures. Dragon's pretty cool too. On this side: http://www.mocpages.com/image_zoom.php?mocid=387314&id=/user_images/104984/13989895782, the ground looks pretty plain. Maybe some dark tan and brown to break that up a bit. But an excellent MOC all in all.

Great work! Just realized you profile pictures is Red... Wow. I'm slow on the uptake... :) I love them now! Took me a while to get warmed up to them but they are stellar! I still like TFK better but yeah. Red. Is. Epic. AND so is your build. X)

This is indeed quite a nice MOC. I think I like your previous dragon (on the tourney build) better, but this one is still acceptable. The rest of the MOC, though, is great - the castle wall has some great architecture, the rockwork is pretty nice especially with the bands of greenery going through, like vines or something, and the buildings are surprisingly effective. What with you, Fraser, and TJ we're getting quite a few very skilled new Mythronians. Nice work, and good luck!

The architecture is awesome! Unlike myself, you built a large wall and towers and such while still maintaining a great texture! The houses also look great! Destrian is quite well done, much better than Brick's version (I still can't get over the cape). Fantastic work overall!

That is a pretty good MOC. I hope for your faction's sake that they ask you to stay in Meids, because you'll need all the good builders you can get.
