About this creation

Built for the 100 Piece Brick Built Figure Contest!

This hiker is well prepared with camera, fanny pack and sensible shoes. Ready for adventure is he!

100 pieces on the nose! I had to loose a couple of pieces to make room for the grey stand.

A round of applause for your mastery of the mystery pieces. The nod to cartoon aesthetics is pleasing. I know the feet are a stylisation, but for me just a touch too big.

A camera lens? Are you kidding me?!? That, sir, qualifies as genius. Oh, but no. You had to go and make a fanny pack out of the octagon, too. And if that werent enough, oxygen tanks for shoes! I must applaud that one. Insanely clever. And then you go and build a full o life character to boot! Seeing this guy hunting for the best picture of an Albers Squirrel down the road from my house would be 100% expected. I am impressed with the cleverness of your part usage in regards to the five Mystery Pieces. I think you have done what was the trickiest thing to do with them: Make them disappear seamlessly. I had to look for every one of them as none of them stood out. Exemplary!

I thought you were bringing Calvin to the contest when I first saw it, then I thought at first he was a skater. After seeing what your intentions were...of course he's a hiker. Don't know why I didn't see that at the start. Nice touch with the sloped platform. Really great work on an original character. Best of luck in the contest.

My first thought was "hey, LEGO Calvin and Hobbes" Probably because of the hair, the clothes, the round face,... Although what kind of idiot would trust Calvin with a camera?

Awesome! I like the use of bananas for hair. The shoes could be thinner but other than that looks great!

Nice one Adam, I think yours has the most character out of the early entries, and great use of the mystery pieces. Not sure about the footwear, they look more like roller skates than shoes but it all works.

Neat little dude. Some of the best mystery parts usage we have seen so far. That fanny pack with matching green belt is pretty slick. Well done. Attack
