Quoting Deus "Big D." Otiosus With a little less studs or at least more control over them (like studless blue but heavily studded gray), it would be perfect. Of course, with transforming and overall coolness, it is not far from it.
I'd say that it was simply a design feature. The classic space sets did feature a lot of studs, so I think he was trying to emulate that.

Devid, that's awesome. You have two threads merged. As always, I like your details. Unfortunately I can not see exactly how you have attached the yellow black 1x1. But it looks very good. The ship and the mecha see each of itself is also very good. Real a great work Devid.

A great build, both in terms of its looks and the technical achievement. It would be great if the seat in the cockpit pivoted so that the pilot stay horizontal but that would be a lot to squash into this already packed build.
